You know, I never thought about the colour change rationale, I think you've nailed it. Great take as always, no glitz, no glamour, just straight talk. Love it!
Really good logical explanation, DHI smells the same for me and I had 2013 and 2015 batches aswell. Some say the juice is darker because it has been sitting in the bottle for some time. I've once seen a DH bottle with a bright pink hue in a store.
Great to see you back! Glad to hear that my 2015 bottle holds its own against the 2013 formulation. Hope to see a lot more content from you in the coming months. Your intelligent, no nonsense style is greatly appreciated in the sea of hype jobs and salesmen on youtube.
thanks for that, I have a 2014 batch and it's funny because I just caught this video trying to buy the exact same batch you have 5t01 and got a great deal $79 for a 5oz ,I'm happy you pull this video...great take... I give you same updates once I get the new bottle in next week...
nicely done man, i have both and don't find a difference, it's just a slight difference in colour concentrations rather than the strength of the juice imho.
My DHI bottle batch is 4U02. July 2015. I've only smelled this once in public in front of the Staples Center attending an NBA game. It smelt great in the cool air. Personally I like the original Dior Homme. I wont be repurchasing DHI when my 100ml bottle is gone.
Anyone have thoughts on his claim? From what I heard theres even a version in between 2013 and late 2014. An 'early 2014' that has subtle differences to the late 2014.
Hi, I also have a 2013 bottle (3Y02) and a 2015 bottle (5Z02). The color is almost identical...not like the bottles you have..the 2013 bottle is just a pinch darker. They smell very close but the 2013 is slightly more powdery...the 2015 has less iris maybe?? but overall..both smell great.
Just cause he made a video doesn't mean he's right. I've never owned the older formula but my 08666/A bottle had the worst longevity out of ANY frag I've ever owned. Two hours at most and it becomes a vanilla skin scent. Wear it overnight and it's almost undetectable in the morning. This from an eau de parfum with the word "intense" in it. BTW as I'm writing this I'm trying to convince myself that the scent is still there on my arm, after having sprayed two heavy dripping sprays last night. It's gone. Nothing there.
1. Years 2007-2010: formula 03214/A - GREAT performance (both sillage and longevity) 2. Years 2011-2014: formula 05443/A - GREAT performance (both sillage and longevity) 3. Years Q42014/2015-mid2017: formula 08666/A - GOOD performance (both sillage and longevity) 4. Years mid2017 - now: formula 10950/A - CRAP performance (less of iris note responsible for 'lipstick vibe', poor sillage but decent longevity especially on clothes) The juice colour DOES matter. There IS significant difference in performance (sillage) between formulations. Dior Homme Intense was severly reformulated in Q4 2014 and everything after that period is abysmal. Get the old formulations if you can. Sorry but the video is pointless and almost always (well 90% of the times) dilluted collor means that the frag was reformulated, watered and/or toned down for the same amount of money :( The theory of tonnig down DHI colour becouse of DHP emerged on the market is ridiculous. Btw. Dior Homme Edt was also weakend after 2015.
@@lainhanna9246 what can you say about 05443/A and 08666/A and the newest formulations 10950/A in terms of performance longevity and projection? Maybe you can say about each one formulation? Thank you
@@karolis112assassin the 2014 batch is the first reformulation and it’s sweeter, richer. It smelled like first true formula, (silver collar) of DHI . The next formula 2016 is my favorite. It’s less sweet, more bass heavy. Both of those have great longevity. The current formula is fresher and has weaker performance, but it’s still DHI and worth buying. It can be used like Dior Homme 2011 was as a signature because it’s weaker.
I got both DHI and DHP, totally happy. But i do and don't agree on the darker vs ligher liquid. In terms of the same fragrance - yes lighter version gives me the impression of watered down and thus less quality. But when it comes to fragrances in general, darker liquid for me means NOT generic bland or aquadic , and i dislike those fragrances. From most of my experience, dark fragrances has a tendency of smelling more mature, stronger.. leather, tobacco, woody.. scents that i love. Lighter colored fragrances are more often then not citrucy, bland, generic and aquadic.... like massproduced brands like Ibrahim or Ronaldo... cheap shit.
It is because you associate something with color. it's like every-time you see something colored brown and it has a thick, viscous quailty you automatically say something like "that looks like shit!". See? It's because you associate brown and viscous with fecal matter. I bet you if DHI was pink( like, La vi'e est belle by lancome for example!) we'd all be saying it's a girl's perfume (and remember it has a strong lipstick note so some already say that!!!) see what I mean?
I own both version of DHI and I agree with you...they suck equally, totally and bigly - no different; lipstick and chocolates for the the dipsticks and transexuals who enjoy smelling like a big girl. LOL! Although these are my least favorites of the 21 Dior fragrances in my Scent Armory, there is some good news in that my daughters enjoy wearing 'em, and they are a pretty decent women's perfumes. But let me be clear...the ladies do not like smelling DHI on a man--you will not get lucky nor will you drop any panties other than the one's you're wearing--so wear something a big more manly. LOL! Anyway, it's back to watching Trump and Hillary discuss the issues at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial banquet...and I wonder why I'm so damn hateful these days. LOL! But seriously, I'm not a fan of Dior Homme or DHI, but I do enjoy Dior Homme Parfum.
Tell me how you really feel. :) If you havent already, try Guerlain Cologne du 68, for something in this realm, but definitely split down the middle. Praline, vanilla and wood, instead of that ambery vanilla. I am a stubble and leather jacket kinda guy too, but I dont mind something soft once in a while. I try to evaluate as fairly as possible, even though its impossible to be completely objective with everything in this hobby. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Dior homme intense I can see a girl wearing but Dior homme not so much. That bergamot really sets it apart and adds a very masculine touch to an otherwise metrosexual type fragrance. I do agree with you on DHI it could be worn by both genders.
this guy must only wear masculine scents to compensate for something ...a real rugged man isnt determined by what fragrance hes wearing , in fact , its the complete opposite

great great review....wow. i thought from the thumbnail the left one was dhp. beautiful juice and bottle...great take on juice colors
Glad to see this!
I will do one video also but I will include the 2009 as well.
Exactly. The vintage version (2009) is the elixir of the DHIs. The rest aint got shit on the vintage.
@@engell3707 I still use a 2013 batch. It's very good also. I doubt anyone could tell what version I am wearing, 2009 or 2013.

Too much light and heat exposure breaks down the chemical bonds causing a reaction. I've seen GPH2 turn green.

My two Intense,2013 - 2016 don't vary that much in color like in your video. They smell identical to my nose.
Any idea about 2016 6q01
Kinda surprised that you haven't reviewed Fahrenheit yet. To me, it's much more interesting fragrance.
Help ! were can i buy a ginuine bottle of DHI ?
Um? FragranceNet.com?
Mega thanks! What's your take on DHP?

Hey, thankyou for pointing out such specific info. Nevertheless, what do you think of the newest 2019 batch with bee logo on the box?
I haven't read more nonsense !!!
You tell him!!! I love true experts like this to nail all the formulas.
@@oceansoflorewi😂😂😂 true experts
2015 batch has definitely been toned down and changed to be appealing to the masses. They never really changed the smell, just toned the 2015 down.
DHI EdP 2015 have the same colourful as the DH EdT 2015.
