It’s hard for any player to return a wide slice serve and a flat down the T. Jokers advantage of being so limber allows him to have better reach but sometimes he contorts his body so much that he falls over a lot and looks uncoordinated. I prefer Fed’s return style of bravely stepping into the court and cutting off the wide serves. You have to great reflexes to pull that off on serves over 140 mph and thats where Fed towers over everyone.
Good point Wally. Novak has developed the body strength and flexibility to make more returns than anyone on tour. When Fed commits to hit his backhand, it's even better. However, he mixes it out well against most players.
Thanks for watching Dhruv. No you're not too short. You just need to adjust your positioning. What other type of lessons would you like to see next in our channel? Jeff.
Thank you for watching. It's not always about the end result, but the process behind it. Will analyze a video where he actually returns the ball back and uses the same return fundamentals than on this one. Jeff.

@@TennisEvolution Pretty much, I'm a believer in fundamentals. Simple, basic, boring (but, not to me) techniques that are the building blocks of good technical form. Hearing from a former pro about his mindset about moving to the ball or staying balanced (or whatever) are gold nuggets. That what I like to see.
That's correct. Thank you for watching. You can't win them all, yet his return fundamentals are solid and consistent. What other types of lessons you'd like to see from me in the near future? Jeff.
So wide serve on deuce court and T serve on AD court will stop Novak from returning ??? I don't see this video is decoding anything. Returning needs alertness, guessing and accuracy .
Return fundamentals often overlooked by most players and coaches. Thanks for your feedback. What other types of lessons you'd like to see from me in the near future? Jeff.

Hi, I like how you explain and emphasize on how some movements are only possible in pros. Keep it up!

I guess, 2 return winners from Novak would be much greater example of how to return serve like a boss!!
Thanks for watching. I appreciate your feedback.
Stay tuned for more pro video analysis videos ;)
Jeff.
The “triangle”. Kobe would be smiling at that. So is Phil Jackson
One thing that I would like to ask you is that I am 5' 7'' tall. Am I too short to hit a great return on a big serve like that?
Thanks for watching Dhruv. No you're not too short. You just need to adjust your positioning.

Great video I should say!!! I would like to see some videos on the two-handed backhand more. Thanks

Learn to return like Novak, no serve returns on the video

Really? You use the best returner in the game to teach return of serve - on 2 serves that he misses?
The same I thought! 😂 But considering I dont speak very well English maybe I lost something
But still, I appreciate that you post so many free helpful videos.

He was baiting the wide serve on the deuce side, but it was too good.

My forehand return is a big problem for me. Slice 90%.

Considering what I saw (2 aces), it’s better not to imitate the Dokovic’s return 😂
Perhaps not this specific return, but his return fundamentals should.
The best surely was Agassi?? Great video thanks Jeff
At this point no. Novak hits with pace ,depth, while having more reach due to his wingspan
You're welcome. Hard to tell. Both are amazing returners.
@@vanshagarwal2362 He learned from Agassi and has taken the return of serve to another level.
how to return like novak? just practice like him. these videos make it complicated :)
Then don't return as Novak
Why complicated? Thank you for watching.
The best returner and yet you choose the worst video...go figure.
Thanks for watching Robert . I appreciate your feedback.
Even the best returners get beat and come back, for more.
How to return a serve like Novak?
BE NOVAK, lol.
Learn from Novak ;)
