He even wanted to manipulate Rory into thinking they would just be friends, when Rory was with Jess, but he wanted to "just be friends" so he could get back together with Rory, and get revenge on Jess... he really wasn't a good guy... especially when he got jealous over Jess. Logan was ok but he didn't really want to commit to being together with Rory. Even in the year in a life they couldn't be together.
