You write "actually" , as though it is amazing that a young woman can be pretty and big at the same time. There is no other way to read it, the Western attitude is that women can only be hot if they are slim, which is so untrue. I was brought up with that being forced on me, and my whole upbringing has messed up my life. Intellectually i know it's wrong and I brought my kids up in the opposite way but for myself, emotionally, I can't get my mother's voice out of my head in so many ways. Rebel is wonderful in so many ways, but as a role model for both guys and girls, like Adele,Jennifer Lawrence and others because they are themselves and it is very hard to get work in that industry if women don't fit into a particular category. Men have never had to have particular looks to become successful, but women have always had to fit into an obvious look. It is shocking that Jennifer Lawrence has only just got the right to be paid the same as her male co stars. We don't have to be thin to be beautiful, we need to be ourselves.

I read an interesting article on why some people love JLaw but hate Anne Hathaway, and it's generally because JLaw projects this "down-to-earth" approachable vibe. She acts very "real" as opposed to acting like we assume movie stars act. She would be your best friend rather than a lofty celebrity. There's a similar thing with Mila Kunis! (:
