- The final day of The Slaw's late summer holiday to France in Helga their Hobby motorhome and Billy & Jessie, their Lhasa Apso dogs.
They camp at Chateau du Gandspette using ACSI for a great deal. However, Slaw is NOT HAPPY in the restaurant and it's a THUMBS DOWN from him!
The Slaws take the ferry home and try the new 'Grab and Go bag' food.

Stopped there in July on our way back and sat at same table! We had a great afternoon using the pool etc. a lovely place to stop.

How nice to see a bit of sun when it’s rained all day! Lovely Pain au Chocolat. France looks such a lovely place to drive, lovely clear open roads. Lovely last campsite for the trip. We stayed at Chateau du Gandspette in June after seeing it in one of your previous videos and loved the site. We were only booked in for one night, on our way up to the channel tunnel, but as we didn't like our pitch at Camping Lac d Orient we left there two days early and managed to get in at Chateau du Gandspette for two extra nights. So glad we did....... One of the best sites we have stayed on and will most definitely be going back. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for the videos. Very good. You mentioned using ACSI. We are thinking of getting rid of ours because wherever we use it the site claims they don't give a discount and they are just registered with ACSi. What's your experience using it?
Hi Mark, some sites don’t give discount, but the ones that do are in the book. They have never refused us. We’ve used it for nearly 12 years now and it’s saved us a fortune 👍🏻

Great vlogs on your trip again. Can I ask why didn’t you use the pet lounge this time? I watched someone else who used it once then didn’t on next trip as their dog didn’t like it.
Thank you! We didn’t use it this time because our Jessie is a proper Jessie 🤦🏻♀️ She’d rather stay in the motorhome with the radio on than come on deck with us. The lounge was great and Billy enjoyed it 👍🏻
How much did you have to pay to take the dogs to NI? Did you have to register at the NI vets what is the process?
Hi Paul, check back through our catalogue we did a vlog on how to get the NI pet passports. We sailed Stena line from Cairnryan to Belfast and incorporated it with a holiday driving the Wild Atlantic Way. We contacted the vet first and made an appointment, so I think we are registered with them now.
