a story about this song... there was a girl that i was very close to as a child, we were great friends, but over time we drifted apart and we didn't speak for years, sometimes i saw her on the street but i never stopped to say anything , today I found out knowing that she had an accident and passed away... I heard this song that day and now every time I hear it I remember it fondly... thank you mac for making such amazing songs

One of the best acid trips ive ever had in my life had this album playing, and this song in particular really struck a chord with me. The guitar throughout is super trippy
I thought it was only me that have listened this after taking acid. That was one of the best trips of my life.
This song perfectly describes where I’m at. I’m hoping for a relationship with someone who could give me their heart and has shown signs of a kindling feeling. It trips her up with guilt because she knows it’s there. I just realized that my dreams of gaining her love are far out of my realm. Too many years have been with the heart this song is supposed to address that she’ll probably never be able to break out of the relationship she knows deep down could give her freedom. It’s this weird feeling of being at a stalemate where she realizes that I realize how well we fit with each other. Cute glances, a beautiful smile, a warming personality, and specific signs have led me to come to this conclusion. Right now I’ll continue to ride it out and see what’s up although my better judgment advises against the significant risk of failure. This song is supposed to not give me hope, yet it’s depressing nature inspires me to have hope in an ironic way. What should I do? Take my chances and pursue the aspect of trying to take it to the next level. Or simply back off and find a girl who’s compatible and single for me. I’m really at a crossroads in all honesty because of how impossible it seems for this reality to come true yet I can tell we both can see this alternate reality with each other. I can visibly see how confused she is with herself as she’s battled with the idea of maybe ending her long lasting relationship. All this is making me feel, is like a stupid man. Yet I feel smart for seeing there is a possibility at a solid relationship.
