Finally, someone that doesn't have a massive room, or whole floor, for just their craft room. You are extremely organized, and offered some great tips. Thank you so much!

😂 one day maybe I’ll have a dedicated space but it wouldn’t want it to be bigger than it is now.

I was just saying if we ever build a house or buy a property, I wouldn't want a huge space at all! I think longterm I may get one of those Dreamboxes or potentially design one myself. I live to have everything in one cupboard.

@@justinehovey I would love to have one of those scrap cabinets. I think I'd need 2 or 3 to hold all my stuff though. Or it'd be nice to have one dedicated to Scrapping. And one to card making! Oh what fun.

Organization is a fluid thing. 2 years ago I wasn't making the volume of cards I do now. My organization now isn't a luxury, it's essential as I am the creative home for a group of stampers. I'm always interested in looking g at new ways to organize.

I use our dining room in an open floor plan. My husband took out the table and I've put
three two tier small desks around a thrift table. I have plastic 3 drawer storage under the desks and more storage on the thrift table. It's my fraken craft space.😁

Keeping organized is a constant battle in my craft room! Good ideas you offer, especially the use of binders and the magnetic ‘wall’ on inside cupboard doors for me. I echo someone else that mentioned the buying too much part of the equation… sigh. Working on that also. Have even unsubscribed from channels that constantly tout the need/ must have for New, New, New stuff. It’s freeing! TY for all that you offer us! 👍🏻😀🌷🌻

When I sold my home 3 years ago to downsize, the #1 think on my wish list was a space to craft, paint furniture, & sew! I ended up with none of the above!! Mostly because of the housing costs in CT. So I have been relegated to a basement wood working area, and the kitchen for everything else! I do love where I live but still haven't got a handle on organizing all of my multiple hobbies!! I really like your magnetic wall, and I will definitely start hanging more fixtures on the wall. What I do have is a wall of windows, so it's a bright & cheerful room. I'm very thankful for that! I'll take a look at your other video for more ideas. Thanks for the ideas in this video Justine, every tip helps!🌷🌷

Cath, I’m not trying to get into your business, but just sharing a thought. If it’s possible (property wise as well as financially) could you add a room onto your home? That way you could get your dedicated craft space. When I lived in Florida I did that as I only had my dining room table on which to work. My parents would visit for the winter so as a result I got nothing done.

Good ideas. I am going to take your suggestion and add magnet sheets to a cabinet door that I have. I keep dies in a binder which for the most part is fine, but I can move the most used/basic ones to the door.
for me, the main thing has to be to stop buying stuff ... or as much stuff. And specifically specialized products I won't use much. I have already started this. Most especially those once per year holidays. I don't make many holiday cards other than Christmas. I truly don't need that many holiday supplies. Even for Christmas - I have plenty of supplies for future Christmases. I really don't want to buy any more Christmas stuff.

Thanks so much for this, Justine. I have a study/home office which I share with my husband. It handles some of my craft storage, but I actually craft on my dining room table. So the dining room has some often used tools and supplies which can be tucked away into a vintage tea-wagon and a storage bench when I'm not crafting. As you say, we need a variety of solutions for our variety of crafty-spaces.

Justine, I just love how real you are! If I have learned anything on this crafting journey, it is never to stay married to one idea for too long. What works today may not work tomorrow. Hearing other crafters amplify the mindset of using what one already has, organizing in a manner tailored to oneself versus others and enjoying the process of making more is what keeps me motivated. Blessings!

Regarding the paper drawer and ink shelves, sometimes easy to access is more important than taking up the least space. Sure, you could have all that ink in a box or two, but how much time would you spend looking for the ink you want? On the ink shelves everything is out and easily accessed, therefore easily and more joyfully used.

Hi Justine, I always pick up helpful tips from your videos. I've transitioned my stencils and foils to binders. Works great! I have a question about how you store your blending foams. I assume they are stuck to a little piece of velcro stuck to paper or cardstock. Do you slip these in a page protector? Do you do this only for Distress Oxides? It's possible you have a video on this aleeady. I'll take a look but if you could link to it that would be great. Thank you.
