Brother, love the channel. Just finished 10 weeks of chemo and had to put my channel on pause. Your videos helped get me through chemo! Just wanted to say thank you! Keep it up! Love the videos.
Really love how straight to the point the vids are, just enough talking and then right to fishing. Honestly a rare thing on RUclips so I’m extremely glad I found your channel.
Me too. There's a certain freshwater tournament angler(retired) that gives incredible bass fishing tips... but man he talks for two or sometimes 6 minutes before hand.
Spent my whole childhood swimming and fishing in the bay and around Dauphin Island. Lived on DIP til my 30s, as a kid my parent would walk us down at night when tide was out to get soft shells and sometimes we'd find flounder in the shallow water. It was funny- we'd spend whole days goofing off in the bay, swimming and wading out and surprisingly, no one ever got hurt or drowned, even when we'd float way out on logs or parts of people's piers that had come off in the last storm. Uncle had a sailboat and on weekends we'd sometimes all go out to Gaillard Island. All us kids would get tossed off and have to swim to the island itself because, of course, you couldn't get a sailboat right up to it. As a kid, the beach we went to was on that east end of DI though- there actually used to be a nice beach, right across the street from the fort, right on the tip of the island. I guess over the years it's washed away mostly and they've put rocks to keep what little is there, and the road. And Sand Island sat a good ways off the island itself. I was the oldest and the only one the got to go gulf fishing with my dad and sometimes we'd stop out there after we'd been out awhile. As a 43 year old mother of 2, I'd like to think I now have more sense than to go way out in the gulf in a 15 foot wooden John boat, especially an older one, but I'm guessing if he was here and asked if I wanted to go I'd tell him to give me a minute to get my shoes.
Of all the Bama/Pensacola fishing channels, yours are the best. You have a far better eye for cinematography. By far my preference in content of fishing the Gulf.
Thank you for providing these awesome videos showing us your world. Your dedication to making the best content in your area is highly commendable. Take care and God bless ya. Fellow Vet saying thanks for your service.
@Bama Saltwater I'm sure ! Soon here in Canada I will be making fishing videos until I get to move to the Bahamas in like June. So I will definitely be making like fishing videos and fishing for aquarium fish and netting and stuff so you are an inspiration to me and your Vids are the best !
I spent 8 years of my life living all over orange beach and gulf shores. I loved grabbing my pole and hopping on my bike and finding a place to fish. Good memories ❤
It's kind of cool that you saw the pilot boat coming from the pilot house on dauphin Island. My neighbor straight across the street just so happens to be a Mobile bar pilot and he is a cool guy, with a cool job !!!!
@@BamaSaltwater He has a son my age who is harbor tug Captain. Anyhow, we hung out a lot as kids and rode to high school together, fished together, etc .. His dad was always bringing things home that the crews on these foreign ships would give to him as gifts. Really nice, good, expensive whiskeys, Scotch, foreign cigarettes and all sorts of stuff like that !!!
@@BamaSaltwater not to mention the money isn't bad. He works a week on and a week off. (while he's on tho if there's nothing inbound or outbound he just sits or comes home to Daphne). So he works less than half the year for $ 300k+ !!!!!! ....or so I've been told.
The end of the video was awesome I too love sheepshead. It is an under appreciated fish. Excellent table fare. Stay safe and really enjoyed the video. Tell Bama Mom I said hello.
Love the video. You make catching fish seem easy, but I know it's about knowledge and technique. I bought two cranka crabs and can't wait to try them out this weekend to catch my first sheepshead.
Another great video! Your recommended rig is already paying off for me. Caught several nice sheep under the Carrabelle River bridge on Hwy 98, East of Apalachicola. Thanks!👍
Love to see it! I hear you say get the skunk off... Do you think that's the same as dodging the blank?(catching a fish) That's what people in England say. Thanks
