Hey! Wanted to chime in and say thanks for the videos. I found CSC from watching Ari Henning's video against the RE but found your channel and watched almost all of your content from an owner's perspective on this bike. Based on your videos and finding just about every forum I could to get as much information on the bike, I bought a 2021 model last Monday in Fire Yellow and have been enjoying every minute of it! I live here in LA about 15 minutes from CSC so I bought one and rode it home the same day. One of the concerns I had with the bike were the issues that people were saying they had with the engine being lurchy and the throttle being like a light switch. The gentlemen showing me the bike said that they fixed this with the 2021 models with a new ECU module with a better fueling map for the EFI. I can say that the first 150 miles that I've put on it, that hasn't been an issue which is a relief! It behaves really well below 10mph which is something that a lot of people had complained about in the forums. All in all, it's a great bike and I have to thank you again for making your videos, without them I'm not sure I would've felt comfortable even going down to check them out. Thanks! P.S. I would contact them about that turn signal, the one on mine is actually pretty good so you may want to see if they'll send you a new one. Worst case scenario, they have the replacement on their website for $23.95!
Thank you!! the 21 model is pretty amazing!! I'm glad to hear that they re-mapped the ECU I think that'll make a huge difference for low speeds. Ejoy the bike and ride safe!! 😄
I have to comment, you drive really well, better than most. 3:55 that's right, move over when a truck is coming head on on a two-way road. 6:56 that's right, hold your ground, you are just like everyone else on the road and they should be looking out for you. Pick-ups and suv's can be especially poor drivers as they are sometimes driving their vehicles for their safety and get lax in driving skills. Always remember to make yourself be seen, that is the best tactic. Have a great ride!
I've been looking at China bikes for around 15yrs. I joined China Riders Forum in 2008 to help research. I just took delivery on a Lifan Xpect yesterday!!!! Now I don't need to trail ride my built Grom or my ADV 150. I can't wait to see the difference. The two Hondas are both riding on street slicks year round on pavement, gravel, sand and snow/ice. Can't wait to see what the increase in traction and ground clearance is like.
Hmm, I was taught to leave bike in 1st gear at stops, and foot on rear brake. Be prepared to move out of way. However, I’m not a city rider and have to hang out at stop lights. That would be a drag! Thanks for the videos and thoughts about Rx4.
The weight of the bike is actually pretty perfect for it's size. Compare it to other bikes like it, The Vstrom 650 is 510 pounds with cases, wet. The Versys 300 is 390 with cases wet. The KTM 390 ADV is 376 with cases, wet. So, when you consider the CC's you get, the 450 is about right. The KTM is pretty light by comparison, but it's the only one really in the same range. The RX4 falls right in where it's expected weight wise. It would feel heavy if you are used to riding the smaller dirt bikes.
If you come to a stop in first gear and it won't go up into neutral try feathering the clutch lever until you feel it start to engage the clutch pull the lever back in and try for first. This is how it works for me on my RX3
I have a 2021 RX4 with the new TFT dash..... so I will add one to your hate list.... the tempiture gauge..... at normal running tempiture it reads all the way to the top just minus one bar.... obviously someone missed that in manifacturing ! but if you read the Numbers instead of looking at the graphics it provides the tempiture so I go by that....NOW... I called CSC and talked to them and finally got ahold of Joey and he said yah they are kind of generous, but you can read the numbers instead....so that is what I've done !
My blinker does that too. Might take apart and put in some electronic grease to see if it helps. Talked to joey and he said there are bigger sprockets coming soon so that should fix the low end. Mine somestimes is not in neutral when the light is on, and i have straight up launched the bike to a stall when I confidently let go of that lever when I saw that light. I know better now and I ease the lever when the light is on, if I feel it grab when in neutral, I shift up then back down. I see you got the same GPS mount as me 😉. Change your handlebars. Mine did not last more than 3 drop Lmao, then again I drive her hard between mudding and rock quarry climbs. Ill do a video of the upgrades I have done later. Cheers!
I pull the triggers i bought it yesterday now the waiting game. i was in the fence between from KTM 390 adv or this bike. i chose this one because you get more from the money, quality i think its the same. And i have NC700 this bike is good bike i had it since new. but i want something more ground clearance at to beat the shit out of it without think of large repair bill. Your video helps a lot, I thank you. oh i almost forgot what type of hand guards you got for RX4? 😊👍👍
That awesome hope you enjoy the bike!! 😄 here's a link www.amazon.com/dp/B0773DRLKT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_S2V6YMDS8TSM2F17NHYJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
@@AnthonyMedina did these fit without modification? have a RX4 pending delivery, planning ahead.. on my Brozz i couldnt get an Amazon handguards to work with the stock bars.
Sorry you hate it. I've found that when the bike is rolling, you have to shift all the way down to 1st to go up to neutral. When the bike is stopped, you can get to neutral down from 2nd or up from 1st. Sounds weird, but that's how mine works.
#5 .. it's a Chinese bike manufactured in China with practically zero quality control. Buyer beware. I had a Chinese 250 scooter some 15 years ago and I had to rebuild it from day one. It was a p.o.s.! 😝
@@chadmckenzie2095 wow that is interesting 🤔. I have never had a KTM although I know it's more expensive then my RX3. Lots of parts made on all our bikes all over the world.
@@MrShad73 yes. Bmw and ktm made in India. Ktm moving to China. Soon it will be hard to make fun of Chinese motorcycles as they get better and better. I know several who have put 10k miles on an rx4 without a single issue. Lots of ktm and bmw owners can't say that.

Check if they're using Delphi EFI, if they are you can use a RC Mini 5 ECU to remap however you want it :-)

On my hawk .. the turn signal harness under the seat to the rear lights had a short .(chaffing from vibration) ... Caused light issues .
Check that

Your right about leaving it in gear at lights

My big gripe is bolts pulling/marring threads when removed. Your blinker might be jacked, mine doesn't do that.
I am planning on getting a RX4 soon. Just looking to see who has videos out on it. Now you have another sub, take care, ride safe.
Thanks!! I got a moto camping video up next! Thanks for the sub 😄
same here... im satisfied just watching the bike on youtube 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for the video. I am curious if you have any issues with the quality of any welds or any corrosion?

Did you still have the bike?
Do you still have the bike?
On the turn signal ,you prob have to hold the button in for about 2 seconds like the power button on a stereo.
I'm really interested getting started in adventure bikes
Usually not being able to go into neutral is more likely your clutch cable tension
what are they using for an engine? lifan?
What's sproket size for hawk
I use 17/50

Generally the neutral light on any bike shouldn't be trusted completely, even in riders course they say to always be mindful of it.
This was almost a 4 things I love about my hawk. lol
Tt250 has blinker issues also 🤔 nice informative video horn could be louder also 👍🤟try soft foam earplugs I use when I ride my HD !!
Thanks! I'll have to try that out, it'll make it alot easier than pulling the baffle out every time 😄
