WITNESS Basics Tutorial 4 - Conveyors and Labour

The conveyor element is introduced in this tutorial and the different types of conveyor are explained (indexed, continuous, fixed and queueing). A method of drawing straight and curved sections for the conveyor is shown and a small model is built using this conveyor and two workbenches that each break down and need repair. A labor element is defined in the model to effect the repairs and the method for assigning the labor resource is shown. The detailed statistics show a number of different states for the workbenches, including blocked when the conveyor is full, and waiting for labor when a resource is not available.
