I really like that between Vampire and Bad Idea, Right? we found similar influences, especially from the 90s. I feel like her album will be full of songs inspired by diverse sounds from the 90s, and I would live for that. I loved SOUR, the album was amazing and it's rare for a first album to be this good, so obviously everyone looks at her for a second album, to see what she will do, and there's this pressure of doing as good as SOUR. And what I love is that even though she doesn't change completely the sound that made her famous, she evolves and she takes us on a trip to the past. I can't wait to hear GUTS, I'm sure it will be amazing!!
Maybe it doesn't do "as good" as SOUR but that's an almost impossible bar due to the viral success of Driver's License from an artist not too many people knew of before. And virality on the internet is not something that can be explained and isn't completely understood, or more artists would be capable of it. But, so far, I think GUTS songs are more musically complex and the lyrics are more interesting than SOUR. However, SOUR did have a bit more emotional depth to it that we have yet to hear from GUTS.

i think it’s cool bc both albums seem to be before, during and after a bad relationship. sour was so in touch with feels, whereas guts seems to be a little of a shallow feeling. not anything bad but the albums seem to flow well as far as a story of a relationship that didn’t work out.
As mentioned at the 8:28 mark, I definitely agree that this song has great "brutal"/'"good 4 U" mix vibes with a catchy harmonic arrangement and style.
