The State had no need to much overture...the behavior of each, the dynamics in the relationship clearly illustrated in the 911 calls and most especially the personal vids. speak volumes of, let alone the utter contempt she felt for him in their opening to discredit both her claims of snapping under the pressure of both DV and PTSD. Those alone, if Sarah had been the victim...Jorge, despite his flaws, would have pleaded guilty, recognized he messed up faced his lot, would seek to spare both his and her family the absolute ish show Sarah insists upon now til the day she dies.

I agree, but I also think they may feel some...validation maybe? They were already well aware of how awful Sarah was to him, but now others will know too.
I never knew about these, but I always was suspicious on why state was playing it so cool. They had to have something very damaging, I was just waiting. Plus I’m an Eastern European who grew up in Brooklyn, who is by nature suspicious of everyone so I watched Sarah’s testimony rolling my eyes the entire time.
I should add that I worked with someone who was diagnosed with narcissism, i don’t remember the exact wordage, but at one point this person made me find them a new doctor cause they didn’t like the diagnosis lol Yes, I probably have ptsd from working with them. Many of my coworkers do. And while working for this person I tried finding another job and use to breakdown crying at job interviews. So there certain aspects of Sarah’s behavior remind me of my ex boss. Not triggering but I 100% know for a fact how exhausting she is and nothing is ever done right
The level of control was triggering. His demeanor was 95% compliant and meek in the totality of every video. Arrests, being goaded, taunted, ridiculed... the level of utter contempt and malice in her voice was horrifying. i have layers of Amber Heard folded through this trial. I hope the Jury has a clearer picture of the dynamics now and hear Jorge pleading for his life in it's true context now.
The gaps in her testimony and the visual hestitation when questioned by Mr J regarding the rules of hide and seek spoke volumes- the missing time in her accounting of the events leading up to 'hide and seek' coupled with two no dog in the hunt neighbours testimony indicate that Jorge got into the suitcase on the landing or bedroom upstairs- i suspect he was coerced into it, either by demand or by cajoling... by the time he was in the lounge area he was possibly already banged up a bit, disorientated and perhaps frightened. The neighbours both cited around 10.30... the photo and videos commenced around 11pm onwards, there's so much time he may have already been in there, i suspect he may have panicked at some point after the stairs and threatened, pushed on the suitcase and that's when she grabbed the bat... his begging sounds defeated, adrenaline dump gone...
addendum: in a nutshell i don't believe she hid in the shower upstairs at all, she was upstairs yes, so was Jorge, if the neighbours' accounting was accurate.

The physical and emotional abuse are one thing, but that in particular really does break you in a way that most people wouldn’t understand. Almost a decade of it, and I told my dad at one point (the only time I said a word the entire time) that she was going to kill me, and not to let her keep my boys. It’s super embarrassing to be a 6’2”, 185 lb athletic guy, and consistently look like you’re getting jumped after work. You can’t say anything. When I left, I went to file for custody. When doing my report, the first officer said, “Psssh, I wish a bitch would. (Laughs really hard.) Be the last thing she hits, other than the ground.” 😑 Yepp, super cool, tough, and helpful, buddy. But that is the general reaction. I legit thought she was going to kill me, and the first time I try to get help, I’m laughed at, mocked, and told “that’s a tough claim to make, you better be ready for a fight.”.

I think the state expert may have diagnosed NPD if she had seen these videos. I did not even get to the worst of them...the ones on Sarah's phone were horrific and sad for Jorge. My heart breaks for his family!!

They see someone at their school and another in a more professional setting. My 6 y/o (4 when this happened), when I first got custody of him, was a bed wetter. Not a big deal, but when they heard about my deal, they thought some extra help may be necessary. Turns out. He doesn’t have a physical issue… He was so used to being hit for getting out of his bed after dark, that he would use the bathroom on himself, wake up, and hide his clothes for fear of being in trouble. When I found out about that, I lost my shit. Thinking about it right now writing this, my eyes are filled with tears and my hands shake… I can’t imagine someone doing that to a baby. Their baby. He wouldn’t ask for food for days at a time because his mom told him he ate too much and was breaking the bank. 🤬 So he was afraid to tell me when he was hungry and would just wait to be fed. He was afraid to cry when he was sick or hurt, because “mom and _____ called me bad words” for it. They called my 4 yo a little bitch when he got hurt. Like, what kind of person does that? I’m sorry, I’ve never talked to anyone outside of court about this shit, and I want people to know what she is. And I want people to know that there is so much more going on in situations like these. All three of us dealt with so much at different times, and I’m sure a lot of theirs was her punishing me. So I know how vindictive and horrible people can be…
SB is a broken person as was Jorge. I feel very sorry for the child Sarah who was traumatized but not the caustic narcissistic adult she is now. I hope she is imprisoned at least long enough for her son to grow up without her toxic self.
Owens scoring the win and then fumbling for the loss was something. Also, Dr. Werner trained at a scary institute, Connecticut Valley Hospital, in CT. The state never tore down the old buildings at the site where the new hospital was built. Also, Whiting Forensic Institute is on that campus (think Hannibal Lecter level of confinement) Knowing how treatment was years ago, I am convinced those buildings must be haunted. You can see them from the highway when you drive by. Eerie lights and broken windows.

Sarah is devious. I think either she hurt herself or Jorge accidentally hurt her while trying to defend himself, which does happen. Jorge seems very calm. I don’t necessarily think he ever intentionally hurt Sarah. I do believe she manipulated situations to put herself in the best light. I agree with you that she used alcohol to control Jorge. Sarah is just awful, imo. I really hope the jury gives Jorge the justice he deserves.

She said they were the evidence on her phone that would prove she was the victim. Her own videos show that she was the aggressor, the dominant partner in their relationship, and the abuser. i believe these videos were amongst the videos on her phone, pertinant to the state's theory... more importantly if there were any other videos of Jorge perpetrating violence upon Sarah, other than the staged destruction of a broken tv, the defense would have trotted them out... the best they had were unxplained photos of bruising, enlarged onto poster boards for effect. Sometimes the quieter and softer a litigator treds, may just be because the evidence speaks for itself, the louder and more showy, the grander the claims made may be that the evidence is weak.

I think the state expert may have diagnosed NPD if she had seen these videos. I did not even get to the worst of them...the ones on Sarah's phone were horrific and sad for Jorge. My heart breaks for his family!!

@@Mama_Bear524 Thank you very much for the kind words. We are in a much better place. They have both been getting therapy for a year now, which is helping them tremendously. They see someone at their school and another in a more professional setting.
My 6 y/o (4 when this happened), when I first got custody of him, was a bed wetter. Not a big deal, but when they heard about my deal, they thought some extra help may be necessary. Turns out. He doesn’t have a physical issue… He was so used to being hit for getting out of his bed after dark, that he would use the bathroom on himself, wake up, and hide his clothes for fear of being in trouble. When I found out about that, I lost my shit. Thinking about it right now writing this, my eyes are filled with tears and my hands shake… I can’t imagine someone doing that to a baby. Their baby. He wouldn’t ask for food for days at a time because his mom told him he ate too much and was breaking the bank. 🤬 So he was afraid to tell me when he was hungry and would just wait to be fed. He was afraid to cry when he was sick or hurt, because “mom and _____ called me bad words” for it. They called my 4 yo a little bitch when he got hurt. Like, what kind of person does that?
I’m sorry, I’ve never talked to anyone outside of court about this shit, and I want people to know what she is. And I want people to know that there is so much more going on in situations like these. All three of us dealt with so much at different times, and I’m sure a lot of theirs was her punishing me. So I know how vindictive and horrible people can be…
SB is a broken person as was Jorge. I feel very sorry for the child Sarah who was traumatized but not the caustic narcissistic adult she is now. I hope she is imprisoned at least long enough for her son to grow up without her toxic self.

Owens scoring the win and then fumbling for the loss was something. Also, Dr. Werner trained at a scary institute, Connecticut Valley Hospital, in CT. The state never tore down the old buildings at the site where the new hospital was built. Also, Whiting Forensic Institute is on that campus (think Hannibal Lecter level of confinement) Knowing how treatment was years ago, I am convinced those buildings must be haunted. You can see them from the highway when you drive by. Eerie lights and broken windows.

Also suggest that Jorge was guilty of reactive abuse not exactly domestic abuse. He was the victim but also abused sarah when he was pushed beyond his human limit or physically pushed into having to defend himself

Sarah is devious. I think either she hurt herself or Jorge accidentally hurt her while trying to defend himself, which does happen.

i believe these videos were amongst the videos on her phone, pertinant to the state's theory... more importantly if there were any other videos of Jorge perpetrating violence upon Sarah, other than the staged destruction of a broken tv, the defense would have trotted them out... the best they had were unxplained photos of bruising, enlarged onto poster boards for effect.
Sometimes the quieter and softer a litigator treds, may just be because the evidence speaks for itself, the louder and more showy, the grander the claims made may be that the evidence is weak.

I think Owen’s is either an idiot, or he has a master plan for all his argueing and stalling techniques. Sometimes I think he is just trying to sabotage his own defense.
