  • This giant sequioa seedling, in this time lapse video, first saw the light in januari 2023. The first 4-5 months it has been grown indoors. The last 4-5 month it was in the ground in my mini forest in the Scandinavian taiga. The day temperatures are mainly under 20 degrees C here. But we had some weeks up to 24 degrees. The growth was also limited for a month due to foliage shading the giant sequoia seedling. It is currently under a layer of snow and early november already has minus 16 degrees C. Lets hope it wil survive winter and deer, moose, capercaillie, snow hairs feeding on it.

That is cool. Never been there and did not know they grow giant sequoia trees there. That is a lot of new seedlings indeed!
