Emad Ahmed pixel takes 4 secs , similarly samsung's manual mode takes 2-10 secs(which can be changed manually). I accept that pixel's night mode is great, better than any other phone at present
FYI, pixel's software uses ML to identify the background, and applys colorsd to it based on what it thinks it shd be....It literally "paints" the image in post processing, and thus we see those colors....
Google is doing some magic kind of thing if not how the hell is it capturing shadows ??? I think they trained AI the whole year to do this magic.....so amazing
1 second shutter speed is just too long to maintain a non-blurry image, even with a super steady hand and presence of OIS. The slightest of vibration could easily ruin the photo, that's how restricted the cameras are. I could think that the camera takes about 4 shots, one with the highest ISO the sensor is capable of, two balanced image, and one low exposure image, and they are stacked together (with the highest ISO image being heavily noise reduced) to produce this single balanced and well-lit image.
Google camera can do wonders on any mobile!! I'm already enjoying Gcam6.1 on my Poco F1 but Can't wait to try night sight enabled Gcam mod. Coz that night sight mode though🔥🔥
Lol! I too have Option called Night mode in the Gcam6.1 but developers have already said the night Sight feature shows in the Gcam app but it won't work for now!! And they will release it for many mobiles soon. And for now you can experience Real Night sight mode only in pixel devices.
[SD]ViRuZ lol. Apple never said they “invented” something. They often says “the best from Iphone”. Atleast make sure your accusations are real. 😂 btw, if apple decide to do Night mode (which they’ve probably started the research years ago before releasing it), it might as well better than the pixel’s. Just like how the SmartHDR on the iphone is better than the HDR+ from the pixel. And it applies to both pictures and videos. Unlike Pixel, its only good at still images, but iphone dominated in video as well.
this video was really great. I had seen other videos showcasing the night mode, but they didn't compare it to other phones like you guys did. Awesome job, really!
Why don't people support Google by buying a Pixel 3 somewhere? Everyone uses Google's software from XDA, but give their money to OnePlus and Huawei who don't contribute to XDA.
What's the point in buying pixel 3 when there's nothing good in it all the images are tweaked by Google camera app to look good if there's no Google camera app pixel would be the worst camera phone also OnePlus and Honor have exact same camera sensor as of pixel so just port that gcam app on them and get pictures better than even pixel???

So what is the purpose of brightening a dark image to look like like daylight? You might as well use the flash. The purpose of HDR is to reveal certain subjects while preserving the ambiance of the surroundings, giving the viewer a good idea of the atmosphere in the shot.
Done this 3yrs back on my one plus one on manual mode by increasing shutter speed by more than 5 sec(long exposure). The only thing they do is to provide a specific button for that and a software calibration ,can be done in any phone having manual mode.
Honor 9 lite also have this feature... It can take really good pic in pitch dark condition but only in stable condition, slight shake will blur the photo. But obviously pixels clarity is surerb.

Asus already had this "Low Light" mode on its Zenfones it does pretty much the same with what Night Sight does except Night Sight is more clean and crisp
The fact that it can make night pictures look like day is awesome but also double edged because if that is happening then a lot of pictures produced are also being over processed and thus mean they are far from there natural state. Understand fully.

Isn't that same as, slowing shutter speed in Nokia Lumias. When in my Lumia 1020, I keep the shutter speed to 4 seconds, the result is totally insane, just what we got in this pixel 3. One question though, Do you need to keep the Pixel 3 super stable in your hands to get better night site photos.
Night sight produce less natural pictures in dim night scenes. If one can't tell if a photo was shot during the day or night, that is a fail imo. Having said, it's your preference if something nice and beautiful appeals to your instinct over realism. Thanks bro, you make good video. Truly enjoy

But jus portraying what a naked eye can see is better ? This seems a great feature in fact but I just wonder how real the moment was portrayed. I mean the depth and sharpness of the image at low light conditions without this feature (extra bit of exposure).
How are you capturing these shots? Are you using a tripod for these shots? What are the results if you capture the same photos when holding the phone in hand?
Its nice that google can do this in a few seconds , but anyone can create such good pics on pc with post processing in under 5mins from any camera/smartphone...
I like Google for their amazing software, stock Android, and consistent updates, as a Apple user too. best of both worlds. Pixel is underrated, Samsung devices are overrated imo
So basically 4 seconds shutter speed with iso around at 400-400+ Depending on light i'm already doing this with my s9 im happy everyone now has good low light pictures

With big sensor, comes great pictures in every condition.
The only problem? Low light. Night sight take longer time to complete the shot.
Vera level implementation la bro , shutter speed & iso value same time la increase panragu nanaikaran, ithu important na matter enna google developers hand shake also consider pani algorithms develop pani irukaga
👌
You say some features are gimmicky? can you tell which one did you find?
Using Night Sight mode on my Nokia 7 Plus. It's just impressive
How plz tell
Truly enjoy
At one hand smartphones ka coming with 3 or even 4 lens and on the other hand, look at the attitude of google pixel which has a single lens and is on another level!💖
Any decent smartphone can do the same. It uses basics of long exposure photography.
*Samsung variable aperture laakr uchal rha tha lekin google ne software se bja di....google ne proof krdiya hum software se bhi aag lga saktey hai market me👍👍*
This is one of the biggest leaps in computational photography in a long time.
Flash light soon gonna disappear for camera....Not gonna be disappeared as torch...But man that feature made me to think that it's morning not night in most pics....Good video ✌️
Look at 2:11 note 9 photo don't need night mode..
Women behind mirror in car is easily visible in note 9 but blurry in pixel 3..
Samsung needs to work on software
Hardware is still ahead of most flagships
I like Google for their amazing software, stock Android, and consistent updates, as a Apple user too. best of both worlds. Pixel is underrated, Samsung devices are overrated imo
I love using the Pixel night sight mode... It is just amazing... I love the complete pixel 3 experience! Far better than any other phone....
Pixel 3: we have the best night sight
*Huawei P30 pro launches*
Pixel 3: Am i a joke to you?
😂😂
So basically 4 seconds shutter speed with iso around at 400-400+
Depending on light i'm already doing this with my s9 im happy everyone now has good low light pictures
That's just great
i saw people on twitter complaining about launch event that they edited the iphone picture but at 2:09 i think isheeps got their answer great job google....
I just had it installed it in my pixel 2xl and it's just fucking amazing... Can't wait to see the official version 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
Google night sight mode is superb. Thanks Rupesh for your mind-blowing video...
One eye was looking to the camera, and the other one was reading.
