How to PROPERLY Install Wheel Spacers
HTML-код

- In this video, I show you how to professional mount and install wheel spacers on your car. I am using Bolt-on wheel spacers in this application. For the front, I am installing a 25mm wheel spacer, whereas in the rear, I am installing 38mm wheel spacers. After all is said and done, my OEM wheels will be flush to my fender, I will be able to clear my BBK (to be released), and I will get more even lateral load transfer, resulting me in more traction. Thanks for watching!!

Im sitting here with all the basic tools and this man just keeps pulling out tools from the woodworks lol
😂😂😂
I had to spend 571$ on tools just to do the job because no mechanic wanted to do it for me😡
@@crush9197 if you become friend's with a mechanic he'll probably ask you to pay him a small fee to do it, no mechanic will do it cause they don't want to be blamed for an accident that accured on your car thats why
I’ve had my wheel spacers on my car for over two years now and they’re still holding up great... This is literally the only video I would recommend for ppl.
how often do you have to re torque them and how big were the spacers?
@@jaredharrell5751 re torque every 5000 miles
great video..finally a before and after demonstration
Absolutely goddamn right, no unnecessary talking and opinions, just straight down to the point...
This was a really well done video. I was expecting you to babble on for 20 minutes like most diy RUclipsrs. Thanks!
you also need to re-torque them after a day or around 100 miles of driving after installing wheel spacers or whenever you change a tire.
Seems like too much work for me. I'll stick with standard.
or use red/blue loctite
I know this comment was a long time ago but I have a question: Do you have to re-torque just the spacers onto the car, the wheel onto the spacers or both wheel and spacers?
@@increase9896 well, since you have to take the wheels off to get to the spacers........lol
@@increase9896 Both wheel and spacers. if you don't torque one of them they will fall off during driving and that is a very expensive mistake
This is literally one of the best car videos out there. I wish I saw everyone with car videos explain clearly, be well spoken, and be very informative like you
Thanks Bryant! Happy to hear you enjoyed it
Great video. Well spoken, well shot and to the point. Thank you.
dude thank you for all your information you are helping me out so much and it ain't even funny
Nice vid, right to the point and the before and after comparisons were really helpful. Looks much nicer.
Excellent video Milan! BTW aluminium doesn't corrode the way you think it does. The corrosion is called aluminium oxide which turns to a really hard layer (surface). That hard layer actually protects the aluminium from further corrosion. Not saying the added insurance isn't necessary because I would do the same thing your doing.
Dude, your blinker fluid is so low..
😅😅😅
god damn it gavin
Erblin Kurtishi what blinkers need fluid fuck havnt did mine in years
What the hell is a blinker that needs fluid?
Erblin Kurtishi just had to buy new piston return springs.. damn shame
Very helpful and well produced, so thanks for posting.
LOOKS A LOT BETTER!!! (before and after)
Man, really good video, didn't think about using that no corrosion brake coating. Really good information, keep up the good work man! :D
can't believe how far in the wheels sit standard! looks terrible! much better with the spacers.
I think it's because they don't want the track to be wider than x-amount. But make the car bigger nontheless. Had the same on my Honda Accord CU1.
Glad you did the hub centric spacers.
You did a great job on the video. Great suggestion on the anti-seize. It may not be necessary for everyone but it's not bad to suggest one might benefit from it.
Excellent, perfect video. Seriously.
Thank you
Thanks for the video. I'm getting these kind of spacers.
Cooool... Exactly what I was looking for ;)
Dude I saw your video on your awning like yesterday haha and here I am again
You're videos are the best man! i've probably seen all of them in these past like 2 weeks and I've done a lot to my car this week thanks to you! I was wondering if you can possible post a video on how to add the sound deadening to a car and how to take off different panels of a car, how to change lights to some aftermarket ones, more stuff under the hood like changing the headers of your engine. Haha you made me want to do so much! Can't wait for future videos! See ya later!
+JoshJimenez64 Funny you mention that :) Take a guess what the next video coming out is lol
Great video! Great info and well presented. Subscribed!
Great Video man...THANKS!
Love this video. Keep it up bro. 👍🏻
Awesome video good explanation and great ending
VERY GOOD PRACTICAL AND INFORMATIVE. KEEP IT UP.
Good vid! You have me sold!
Perfect tutorial . Well done :) Gold star bro ⭐️ Thank you
Damn great video I subscribed
Nice video, I like the copper grease idea. I'm going to try that.
was it good ?
That anti sieze aint gonna hurt sheit lol good shit bro
great video broski!
Thanks buddy! 👊
Your car looks a lot better now!
you did a very good job..nice vid..!
Very well made video...keep it up
Dude you totally just helped me with my 3000GT. I've never used spacers before and I was trying to put them on the wheel hub BEFORE the rotor haha. Im such a tard
Its all good Ken! Ensure you use your torque wrench twice, once to install the spacer to the hub, then the wheel to the spacer 👍
Great video man!!!
+GT-Rrrrrrr THanks man!!
you deserved my like
I run blue lock tight too on the studs both spacer and hub ... I’ve had mine come loose from vibration
Great video! Im about to order some but before i do , do i measure my new off set rims or my original hubs? You should make a video of how to measure spacers
Good informative video. Thanks, man.
+4dangler Cheers buddy :)
another great video and another mod I want to install. 2016 is going to be killa to my 2012
+MYute87 Thanks man!! :) I wanna see before and after pics!!
Good vid bro, thanks
nice suv bro,like it
Great video and nice car
I think so .really helpful to us.Great.
I've been wondering about the re torque and how that works? Do u wind up having to take off ur tire to re torque the spacer and then 100km later re torque your wheel?
GarageLine spacers are really good! Also better IMO because they are paint black.
sick bro
anti-seize was the only thing you did wrong, it's the equivalent of spreading some mud between your rotor top hat and rim, you don't want there to be anything between the rim and mounting surface its attached to. if your that worried about corrosion simply clean/paint the rotor and hub assembly. Most people should never have to worry about wheels being seized to the hubs, most people change they're tires ever 3-4 years and as long as you actually wash your car your fine.
+MechRider89
most people rotate there tires
Wrong. I worked with Chrysler engineers. They always said torque and anti seize everything.
They're tires..... they are tires
Their tires..... the tires on that persons car.
Rotate there tires..... the place where the tires where rotated.
Rotate their tires..... rotating the tires that person has on their car.
@@jasonobrien2846 Anti seize is for threads not mating surfaces. Maximum clamping forces need clean mating face.
@@jasonobrien2846 And they are Americans so... yeah..
Have a Merry Christmas Milan!
+Tatiana M Thanks Tatiana!!! You too :)
Quick question if you don't mind? How did you know what size to get to make them flush? I have a 2006 accord trying to do the same. But I'm sure each model and year is different. Thanks for time!
Great video bud
Thanks buddy :)
Arandules
I gotta admit, when I selected your video I saw your face and thought "dayum! What's this young kid gonna be able to tell me?" But, I was very pleasantly surprised. You covered it all from A-Z, mentioned some things I hadn't even thought about and didn't spend all your time stuttering and covering extraneous and non-relevant material. Thanks and kudos to you!
it was helpful thanks
Installing 1.5 in spacers in all 4 corners on my slammed 8th gen accord coupe today much excite
Post a video
@@davec431 i dont have the car anymore bro but they held up great never had issues and even changed wheels a couple times. Make sure u use thread lock medium strength everytime and gently clean threads and everything is seated properly and will ride and function like normal wheels
hey, i have an 8th gen accord as well, the link for the 38mm spacer isn't working though, could you post up another one?
nice vidio broo
You should consider ceramic brake pads to reduce 70% of brake dust
I only use asbestos pads.
Hey Milan, i have an 8th gen like yours but mine is hfp so lowered a bit. You think it would rub? Not really concerned about the rear but im scared the front will rub especially while turning. (NOT willing to fender roll or to stretch tires)
Thank you 👍
Just got these in the mail today. 25mm front and 38mm rear wheel spacers. The link for the 25mm wheel spacers listed are out of stock so I got the same brand as the 38mm link.
chuct23 do you have hfp or stock suspension? Wondering if its gonna rub if lowered
Sooooooo much better.
Question here, plan to buy a new alloy wheels with 8 inch width. But my stock wheel is 7 inches. Do you think it does fit for 185 tire?
what size rotor would I need for a 4 piston caliper? and do the adapters come with the caliper kit?
Nice video
+LND Life Thanks :)
Thank you
Wow that looks so much better, especially with the car lowered. They leave so much space for the wheel for some reason.
+Ahmed Haggag Yeah it makes a huge difference!!
excuse my dumb question but is it going to effect the ride in terms of how the suspension works or is that all the same?
Nope. All should stay the same. The springs are going to react the same way, and your car is going to ride pretty close to how it was, the only difference is that because you have a wider track, when you turn, you will get a bit more grip :)
Is there any other way to tighten the spacer bolts to the hub by ourselves, or do we need another person to step on the brakes?
I was considering getting spacers for my 8th Gen coupe as well! Now I have a food idea on how to install them if I do end up buying them. Thanks!
+Luqman Baig Not a problem buddy!! :)
Be sure to get some wider rims to make sure that you're not adding any uneven pressure on your wheel bearings. Wheel spacers alone will put more force on to one side of the bearing than it's designed for, which leads to them wearing down faster and possibly damaging them over bumps.
@@brandonsever2576 How often do you re torque them?
yo bro my car sterring wheel started bubbling alot after installing spacers. i got the wheel alignment and balancing done as well .is there any way to stop wheel bubbbling .
Those spacers come in handy when you habe a bbk and deep dish wheels too.
Yes they do!!
Put 2” spacers I got vibration on high speed any idea what can I do solve the problem?
My vehicle manufacturer lug nut torque specs is 90 ft/lbs, but my spacer highest recommended spec is 80 ft/lbs. Can I go higher than the spacer's highest specification?
Do I need anti seize if I’m only using the spacer for the summer ?
I bought new rims for my car but they rub can The wheel spacers help for the rubbing plz let me know
I drive a 08 Accord coupe will the 25mm work for the rear wheels instead of the 38mm cause they’re out of stock
Hey I know there have been news around the interwebs about wheel spacers causing more stress to your ball bearings. Is there any truth to this? I'd love to hear your long term review on this man. Thanks
Do I need to do wheel alignment if ever I put 10mm spacer in the rear?
Hi I have a 54.1 oem stock bore size , does the bore size on the spacer go to a 73.1 or 72.1 ?
What are some of the cons to adding wheel spacers to your vehicle
this works with 25 mm coversion spacers. 4x100 to 4x114.3?
Do you have to keep torquing down your spacers periodically ?
Hi Milan, i wanna know.. : How did you know the right size of spacer you need ? ( 25mm, 30 mm etc ) Bcause in my case, i just put 4 fender flares on my car.. and now my wheel look way to inside.. i need to make all of these pop about 1/2 inches from the fender..
Cool suede PUMAs.
Any issues with the spacers thus far??? I want to put 2" spacers on my 2016 accord
any issues with handling due to change in the scrub radius?
Great job! I think you will need a hub ring, your wheel didn’t sit well on the hub
thanks bro
No problem Will!
help me I'm about to fit 5x120 aluminium bmw wheels to my van that has 5x118 sizes I no I can fit wobble bolts that will be ok but the question I'm asking is can I fit wheel spacers aswell with the above many thanks
Does these fit a 2009 Acura TSX ?
Should I add these on my 07 Tacoma?
Hi I am big fan! Question: are wheel spacers safe? Do they hurt the car?? Will the wheel roll off?
How many mm should i go if i want to put bolt on adapters without cutting my oem studs??? 30mm will do??
What if existing wheel studs are longer than the spacer? Won’t they protrude?
Is it possible to buy bigger hubs, which would have the same results but eliminate the need of a spacer?
Can i use LED lights for my honda are those legal
Cool
I want to modify my Celica 1990 modifying body I don't have a problem but I love to know how to modify the suspension? Everything about front wheel I really want to know. Tank you
how come you used different sized spacers for the front and back?
I'm sure you know by now but since no one ever answered your question the wheel wells are wider in the back so to make it flush he used bigger ones in the back. A lot of sports cars use wider tires in the back to keep it flush with the wheel wells
