I’ve had my wheel spacers on my car for over two years now and they’re still holding up great... This is literally the only video I would recommend for ppl.
I know this comment was a long time ago but I have a question: Do you have to re-torque just the spacers onto the car, the wheel onto the spacers or both wheel and spacers?
This is literally one of the best car videos out there. I wish I saw everyone with car videos explain clearly, be well spoken, and be very informative like you
anti-seize was the only thing you did wrong, it's the equivalent of spreading some mud between your rotor top hat and rim, you don't want there to be anything between the rim and mounting surface its attached to. if your that worried about corrosion simply clean/paint the rotor and hub assembly. Most people should never have to worry about wheels being seized to the hubs, most people change they're tires ever 3-4 years and as long as you actually wash your car your fine.
They're tires..... they are tires Their tires..... the tires on that persons car. Rotate there tires..... the place where the tires where rotated. Rotate their tires..... rotating the tires that person has on their car.
Excellent video Milan! BTW aluminium doesn't corrode the way you think it does. The corrosion is called aluminium oxide which turns to a really hard layer (surface). That hard layer actually protects the aluminium from further corrosion. Not saying the added insurance isn't necessary because I would do the same thing your doing.
@@milanmastracci thank you for the reply..I dont know if you remember but i commented a while ago about buying your car on a different video, but I realized you are all the way in canada and so instead I just bought my own 2011 black accord coupe with 96K miles. Hey I know there have been news around the interwebs about wheel spacers causing more stress to your ball bearings. Is there any truth to this? I'd love to hear your long term review on this man. Thanks
Although wheel spacers tend to get stuck after long periods of use, please don't use a large amount of anti-seize.. you don't actually want your wheel spacers vibrating around because of a lubricant
Dude. where did you get the spacers from, and how much were they? I've been thinking of getting some to widen the wheelbase, and eliminate that gap in the rear, that the accords have.
+milanmastracci It is pretty bad. at times it looks like the car was cheaply designed underneath. Plus, it leaves no room for bigger brakes...Alright sweet. I'll order mine soon.

+milanmastracci Oh I bet. when I switched from my summer tires, to my winter ones, the look of the wheels just kills me. but seeing yours with spacers, just confirmed that I need them on my car too. plus I also heard that they're a benefit in the snow, since the wider wheelbase helps the car dig through snow better.
Quick question if you don't mind? How did you know what size to get to make them flush? I have a 2006 accord trying to do the same. But I'm sure each model and year is different. Thanks for time!
I've been wondering about the re torque and how that works? Do u wind up having to take off ur tire to re torque the spacer and then 100km later re torque your wheel?
After 5 hrs of prying, kicking, and swearing to separate the spacer off the hub. I will ALWAYS apply antiseize. I rotated my tires about a yr ago and live in Colorado. It was absolute hell and was unsure it would come off..
Nope. All should stay the same. The springs are going to react the same way, and your car is going to ride pretty close to how it was, the only difference is that because you have a wider track, when you turn, you will get a bit more grip :)

No. Reason being is that the amount of fluid that moves through the lines is so insignificant. From gliding to fully depressing the brake, the amount of fluid is around 25mL's. Which isn't a lot at all.

I'm sure you know by now but since no one ever answered your question the wheel wells are wider in the back so to make it flush he used bigger ones in the back. A lot of sports cars use wider tires in the back to keep it flush with the wheel wells
Sure did!! After about 100 miles of driving, you should remove the wheel, re-torque the spacer to the hub, and then re-install the wheel onto the spacer. I'm yet to run into any problems with this setup 😊
It varies from car to car. The best way to find out what size you would like is to measure on your car where you would like to to sit. That would be the size of spacer you would then need to buy :)

instead of having someone press the brakes to torque the spacer down use a jack stand with a rag on top sand rest one of the studs on it so that's it didn't turn while torqing them down. the rag is so the threads on the students don't get messed up. this is what I have done on my car for them and it works great. I also have to do this when changing my brake rotors as I have screws that hold them in place.
Be sure to get some wider rims to make sure that you're not adding any uneven pressure on your wheel bearings. Wheel spacers alone will put more force on to one side of the bearing than it's designed for, which leads to them wearing down faster and possibly damaging them over bumps.

+Amir Asadi Links for them are in the description box
What size are those spacers and are you rubbing?
Do I need to do wheel alignment if ever I put 10mm spacer in the rear?
Those spacers come in handy when you habe a bbk and deep dish wheels too.
Yes they do!!
Hi I have a 54.1 oem stock bore size , does the bore size on the spacer go to a 73.1 or 72.1 ?
Bro, I installed wheel spacer that are meant for my car but my rims (Inside part) get in the way of the vehicles lug bolts, do I have to trim?
No shit sherlock of course you have to cut
What you do bro I’m curious
yo bro my car sterring wheel started bubbling alot after installing spacers. i got the wheel alignment and balancing done as well .is there any way to stop wheel bubbbling .
I need little help here. I got 19x8.5 wheels off subaru STI that I want to put on my 8gen Accord. Turned out they dont fit good because of the center bore. The accords center bore is 64.1mm and STIs center bore is 56.1mm. What should I do in this case? Thanks for the help
Get different wheels
Just wondering, do you want to use threadlocker on the wheel spacer?
You don't need to. As long as it is torqued to the correct specification, you are okay :)
instead of having someone press the brakes to torque the spacer down use a jack stand with a rag on top sand rest one of the studs on it so that's it didn't turn while torqing them down. the rag is so the threads on the students don't get messed up. this is what I have done on my car for them and it works great. I also have to do this when changing my brake rotors as I have screws that hold them in place.
+Jeremy Greathouse Very good idea Jeremy :) I'll have to give that a try next time!!
How do you know you've tighten the wheel to the exact torch spec?
Using a torque wrench.
Bro I’m a newbie to but I did two clicks just to make sure they are on but now I’m hearing that I have to re torque them like tf
VERY GOOD PRACTICAL AND INFORMATIVE. KEEP IT UP.

Low Blinker fluid.
Great video! Only one thing would have nice to see a front and rear pics before and after just to see the difference in the offset of the wheels!?
You mean exactly what I did at the end of the video?
My apologies there! Apparently for whatever reason the video stopped in me prior to your very ending of the before and after! Great job!!
No problem Wil. Thank you 👊
Man, really good video, didn't think about using that no corrosion brake coating. Really good information, keep up the good work man! :D
Nice hood drawing at 4:48
LMAO I never noticed that!!!
can i put spacers on rear only?
I was considering getting spacers for my 8th Gen coupe as well! Now I have a food idea on how to install them if I do end up buying them. Thanks!
+Luqman Baig Not a problem buddy!! :)
Be sure to get some wider rims to make sure that you're not adding any uneven pressure on your wheel bearings. Wheel spacers alone will put more force on to one side of the bearing than it's designed for, which leads to them wearing down faster and possibly damaging them over bumps.
@@brandonsever2576 How often do you re torque them?
Awesome video good explanation and great ending
Glad you did the hub centric spacers.
Do you have to keep torquing down your spacers periodically ?
