I went into this game expecting to main warrior once I unlocked it. Turns out I grew so attached to fighter that I straight up can’t play any other vocation yet because I’m still stuck in my obsession
Ngl Dragons Dogma 2 is such a great game. I always struggle to continue playing a game because I lost motivation and I only have like a handful games I played completely through. This will be probably one of them. I really enjoy exploring in this game, the combat system, the animations. It's awesome. Totally worth the money and I hope they add some classes. I would buy them even as DLC content.

I was banging my head against the wall trying to get a good control setup with r1 light R2 heavy and grab/sheath on the face buttons, but kept getting conflicts. Your mapping is as good as it gets man, thanks a ton!
Amazing video dude, probably the best DD2 video to showcases the starting classes and what they could do. I was thinking of starting as a Fighter but you sold me on the Thief with it's skills and traversal movement. Also I didn't know that you could push the big enemies down when they're stunned/unstable so I'm grateful to learn from this video since I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.
I've watched like 6 videos trying to see if this game is something I'd like. Your video is hands down the best video for just raw information and gameplay examples. Thanks so much for helping me spend $75 today 😂
@@patricknorris9334 bugs aren't as bad, and not the major issue the performance is the real bummer, but, and i cannot stress this enough, that's only in the bigger, busier cities/towns.

Goodness! The video I needed. At last someone speaks about/tests and compares character stats derived from size and weight. Thank you eternally for this! I think I will not regret having made a tall character. But wait... did you not sprint in that movement comparison? People told me size only affects walking speed, not sprinting. And weight no longer affects maximum stamina?
Wow thx! Just what I was looking for before breaking down and saying, yea, I’m buying this now! 😆 Also just awesome tips, info and video setup! Keep being yourself!
Because of this game i have come across your channel. This video is amazing, you give all the information anyone could want to know whilst giving tips. That controller scheme is definitely one im gunna use. Subscibed 👍🏻
Would love a follow-up to control a few variables for move speed: 1. Leg(torso) length could effect move speed 2. Encumbrance could effect move speed 3. Character Weight could effect move speed 4. Character height could effect move speed All of these things may contribute to the large difference in move speed, or it could only be leg(torso) length Really appreciate the info. Its hard to find videos that dont just repeat the same stuff weve known for months
i like how NOBODY is answering his question. im considering a medium build, to look nice since im staring at the dude. but im researching and i dont see much downside to just making a giant character and pawn so you can carry more to sell, craft, etc
To be fair youtubers don't really care whenever they ask you to comment, it's sort of a scheme to generate comments, likes, shares and being the video to more users. Not hating or anything but that's typically along the lines of what that is. Video also is just mainly summarizing things already told to you in the game. Did mention a few useful tips but overall title was pretty clickbaity considering whats in it. Decent editing and good script though.
I played the game for only a few hours so far and OMG. This is exactly what I’ve been craving for 12 years. The first game was my favorite adventure experience ever. And this game is already delivering. I haven’t been this excited about a game in a loooong time.
Alawys a joy to watch you explain all the small (and big) details of a new game. Well done video again! :) My favourite vocation at the moment is Thief, I try to get comfortable with the Mystic Blade but its somehow lackin damage against big creatures with my playstyle.... (cannot figure out how to us the Master Skill properly)
You convinced me to go small or medium this time. It seems high weight no longer gives more base stamina. Also the carry weight bonus for high weight is less significant than in the first game. While in DD1 the difference for encumbrance between minimum weight and maximum weight was 250%, it seems its only around 40% in DD2. Also it was already confirmed that there are collectible items in the game that permanently increase carry weight, which is more in favor of low weight characters. The difference in movement speed could be tied to the tall character having "light encumbrance" and the small character having "average encumbrance". Would be interesting to see how both perform with the same encumbrance tier. As there was no difference based on character height for sprint speed in the first game (only walk speed) it would not surprise me if the small/light and the tall/heavy character have the exact same movement speed if both have the same encumbrance tier. Also in the first game lower encumbrance tier resulted in higher stamina regen, so the small character could have even better stamina regen than shown in this video as the shown small character has the disadvantage of a higher encumbrance tier.
This video randomly popped up in my feed! It was very informative. I tried your controller setup and I really like it. You've just earned yourself a subscriber. Now I'm going to check out what else you've got. 👍
bro its so good with so many miss-able details too like npc being stunned at night when you open your lantern or vendors being scared of you when you have your blades out etc this is the best rpg i've ever played
For archers, you can use the button for manual aim to launch torrent shot instead of tapping the skill button The deadshot got a perfect timing to it, which increases damage and stagger greatly, releass the arrow or press the skill button again right when deadshot is fully charged
It's hard to say which vocation is my favorite. I started as a fighter and ended up quickly liking it much less than I thought I might. I swapped to warrior as soon as I could and had the same feeling; thought I would like it more than I did. Then I switched to the sorcerer and oh my goodness, what a change up! The difference in playstyle from vocation to vocation cannot be understated, as they each truly feel unique and you can tailor the skills to make the builds for each class feel different as well. So when I changed to the high-damage magic build, boy was I surprised. Frigor is just too good, and then I got Maelstrom and, well you know the rest. I maxed our sorcerer without changing again and it quickly became my new favorite class. But, there were so many others! Mystic Spearhand is the class I WANT to like the most, and it's really good. You can become nigh unkillable with the defensive aura spell and it allows you to stay focused on damage, similar to thief. I havent maxed that class yet but I like it a lot, but I wouldn't say its my favorite yet. Thief is just OP. If you need a class that can do everything, there you go. Only stealth option (besides trickster) and the damage output and movement utility is insane. Really, it can do it all. Most highly recommended class for a reason, and Ultra Instinct Shadow Feint is just ridiculous. Tricker was a surprise. I've played most of the game blind and I did not know what to expect with trickster, but its awesome! I actually caught dragons plague and decided to kill my pawns, all of them, while on the road as a trickster. I actually threw them off the mountain at the mountain shrine (Sphinx)... and I had no ferrystones immediately after and did NOT know that I could not hire new pawns since main pawn was dead... I also didnt know you could use the wild rift stones to get pawn back... SO I ended up traveling by foot all the way back to Rest Town as a trickster with no pawns, mostly at night. And well, it was WAY more doable than I thought at first. My inital thought was that I could not do damage, but I didnt NEED to, I only needed to get to town. So, the fact that I could make walls, call a dragon, and pull aggro literally anywhere I wanted away from myself made escaping literally any encounter a breeze... so long as I didnt take any damage (I did ALMOST die when a pack of wolves managed to grab me and start pulling all my limbs apart... but I managed xD). So yea, its a pretty insain class and can literally conttrol the entire battle field. The buff spell you get increases pawn damage by an INSAIN amount as well. Have not tried magick archer or warfarer yet... BUT MAN I THINK.... I like the archer. It was one of the last vocations I've tried but its just so much fun. Not as versitile as the thief do to lack of mobility and stealth options but man the combat moves you can pull off as an archer as just some of the best. Like when I realized that, yes, I need to stay far away, and I had gotten very good at that... but that I could also just run up, kick off a goblins face and then pop an arrow through his eye in the middle or start of combat.... dude its just too fun. Like, play archer, and play it like you are freakin Legolas. Be an arrow God, because you really can be. Idk, the archer does really stand out on paper as much as the other classes, due to lack of big flashy wombo combo moves like the fighter or devistataing AOE magick... but its just fun, and I felt the most in control as an archer. So, as much as I never expected it, I think archer is my favorite class to play. Maybe not the most survivable, maybe not the highest DPS, but definatley my favorite to play.
