The fifth track of six from my Weavers & Welders concept OST.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where the weavers and welders conspire.
Where their overseer rests...

The art was made by a very kind and talented friend of mine :).

I love how it's both sorrowful and ominous, really feels like it's building up to or portraying something that's a *big* deal
Love this one!
This sounds like something that would precede some major boss. Like how the music gets more intense before you free The Hollow Knight. This is more peaceful but has a similar sensation. Like climbing a staircase or something. The bell is reminiscent of a clock tower too, which we see in the background of the album cover. And the strings sort of evoke the weavers' themes. And some of the other instruments sound sort of like the Rainwelder's theme. Overall feels very... convergent. Like everything is coming *to a point* so to speak.
I feel like there would also be an NPC just before the stairs or something that would give you some ominous but epic warning, like Hornet does before you face The Hollow Knight.
"Threads of fate are woven by needle's point. Spawn of Void, long foretold, the wind has whispered of you, and the rain weeps unending for your coming. Will you weld this world whole, or tear it further at the seams? To whichever end your needle points, there the world will follow."
@@sgoldendragon3603 you might be on to something there ;).
Initially this track had all of the respective themes from the previous on top of each other, but it got too unclear what the intended melody of Needlepoint was, so I scrapped it and just aimed to get the “vibes” of the previous track to come through. Glad you picked up on it!
Thanks for your comment, I love to see this level of engagement with the concept I’ve been working on!
ps, that quote is awesome. Emphasis on the tear it further at the seams… that might be relevant later :).
@@dylscore Yeah, layered music is always an interesting idea, but unfortunately it doesn't usually work unless they're specifically written to be layered like that. I can see what you mean about getting the vibes of the previous ones though; you did a really good job there. I actually thought that when I first heard it. About halfway through, I was like, 'wait, this sort of sounds like the others all at once.'
And of course; this is some very engaging music. There is a lot of storytelling that can be done with a title, an image, and a music piece. Especially multiple of them together.
And thank you. I am an author in my spare time, so trying to put thoughts and feelings into words is something I try to practice a lot. Word choice can have a huge impact on how a phrase is taken and what impact it has. *Especially* when put to music. I read 'Needlepoint', and with the epic buildup this theme has and all the feelings it takes from the other four, I immediately thought of the phrase 'razor's edge'. Combined with how the actual game ends, being essentially a battle to determine the fate of the kingdom, that's just sort of where my mind went. You are being presented with a choice; to save, or to destroy.
I look forward to seeing where you go with this though. You've certainly grabbed my attention, along with quite a few other people's, evidently. Keep up the good work mate.
I don't think i can get tired to how you picture Hollow Knight's style of music
And i will gladly listen over and over, as i already have, and will surely look forward to what you do next
Man this actually sounds like hallownest! Great music, hope that it becomes more popular in the future :)
I can't get enough of this. I don't think it would fit Hollow Knight, it's probably not the point, but it is definitely worthy of Christopher Larkin and the game itself in my opinion. I've heard many Hollow Knight inspired pieces, but this one is outstanding. Absolutely beautiful. That friend of yours, who made the art, also knows what he's doing. He managed to capture void, rain, time, and a vessel in a very aesthetic way. Great work!
Perhaps Needlepoint is a clock tower with a needle on the top? There is a clock in the background of the album art.
I like that thought! The album cover actually resembles the weavers and welders: time (clock), void (tendrils), wind (clouds) rain (… rain).
But that’s definitely something to think about conceptually, thanks for your theory!
this song makes me imagine exploring a ground-zero area for when the infection first appeared, where everything is destroyed and theres fallen pale knights and infected bugs everywhere.
This one is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING👏❤🤩👍🏻😆
I could see this being played in Silksong, great job!
Very much swag.
this got me grinning from ear to ear uncontrollably so maybe i should replay hollow knight
I have been recommended these songs for a few weeks now I think, and I finally got around to taking a look. These are absolutely beautiful
I've been listening to this album, and really enjoying it. This was the first song from it that I heard, and it was really fascinating to hear the familiarity in the other songs when comparing them back to this one, and how the leitmotifs and feeling from the others were invoked here as well (even if it does kind of feel like I listened to them in the wrong order lmao).
It really makes them all feel very interconnected, and it makes it feel very fun and rewarding to listen to the whole album and hear them tie together, you can imagine the world that they all take place in just from hearing the music, and I find that really fun.
Thank you for uploading these here, I've been really enjoy your music!
Just found this randomly on my feed, great stuff! Personally I think this song gives off Slime Rancher 1 vibes, and I mean that in the best way possible, the soundtrack for that game is fantastic. Feels like I'm being taken back to the Moss Blanket, Indigo Quarry and Ancient Ruins Night Themes in particular
bros on that grindset
These are so impressive! Im so surprised you only have as many subscribers as you do. I can tell that every song you make is produced with great love and care, theres so much emotion strewn all across it. I cant wait to binge listen all the ones I havent heard yet!
This is my favorite of your songs. I love the progression
"Everything just works!" TheWilliam said calmly
Beautiful. Absolutely love this piece.
This is so good
My favourite so far!
The most emotional and with amazing leitmotif. You did a very nice job!
I hope what your music and other art would get more attention which it deserves.
Brother this is so good!!!
beautiful!
This is a great idea and beutifully executed, thanks for this
Wow, this is really great! The hollow knight community still amazes me to this day; the things it has accomplished is incredible. This piece really sounds like something from hollow knight. I do have to wonder though is this an individual piece, or is it part of a larger project?
@@Oneoldosterage-wi4oz This is part of a 6 piece album! The rest is on my channel, with the last one planned for release this week. Available on streaming then too. Thanks for listening!
this might be my favourite of the lot so far lol
bro said he would cook and did it
I love how it's peaceful yet foreboding, it feels kind of similar to Waterfall from Undertale.
Also, 420th like, let's go
So if the knight uses a nail, hornet uses a needle, would the third guy use scissors? maybe the normal attack would only use half of the scissors, and then you'd have certain special attacks where you'd summon the other half of the scissors but with special effects or smth idk lol
Wait split scissor dual wield would go crazy. Thanks for your comment.
Now you've got me imagining some bugs using other types of sewing tools. Like a seam ripper, an awl or marking pins
@@phanastro Omg, this is so cool! Everyone is giving me really great ideas, I love it sm.
A seam ripper might be especially relevant for the final boss ;). Might have to write that down...
Terraria ark of the elements reference
(You probably have no idea what i mean)
Wow, just found your channel! Your music style and composition is incredible!1
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy my music :)
Amazing!~ Such a pleasant melody...
Beautiful
❤👏
Team cherry should've hired you to make music for silksong. Bcuz it's no music.. this is art
hey music is also a form of art-
@@magmafang that's what I'm talking about
Dis larkin level stuff
I dig it
I'm sorry to be this person but this is Homestuck coded fr fr. Has some of the same melodies from Descend. Which is not a bad thing, I like this a lot. Regardless of how people feel about Homestuck, the music slapped hard. I mean, Toby Fox made some of it ffs.
Can people steal your music for Hollow Knight related projects cause it’s really good.
@@MaizeSnallygaster just make sure you credit me! And feel free to email / comment what projects you use it in so I can watch :)
Brooo I really want you and Dutonic to make a joint Silk Song song or album, PLEEEAASEEE can you do it?
Wait is it supposed to be weavers and wielders, or weavers and welders?
@@koalafiedgaming4738 Welders! Checkout the other songs in the album for more on that.
@@dylscore Okay, I really liked this song, I was just confused as to why it was welder and not wielder.
@@dylscore I’ll check out the rest of the album for sure
Can I play this during my D&D campaign?
@@magicoal2201 of course! If it’s public / watchable, just credit me in the description. If it’s private, have fun! Thanks for listening.
Someone asked the question I was going to ask lol-
@turtleisa5667 Ah, another D&D enjoyer. Please do share!
@@magicoal2201 Right now I have no plans to use the song in my dnd campaign for actual story purposes, mostly because im not running a campaign right now (but will when my group finishes the current two-)
We've just started 2 new campaigns, with someone trying dming for the first time, and another Forever Dm like me is dming a Mario Dnd Campaign. Which is funny because in a non-mario dnd campaign he played a goomba.
The mario dnd campaign is set to start either next thursday or next next thursday, depending on what we decide.
Either way, I'll still recommend the music here to my 2 dms so they can use it for awesome-
(Plus sometimes the players are allowed to put music on too, so, i can just do it then)
Is this the Hollow Knight 3 soundtrack ?
Did yo change your name ? This is dutonic right ?
@@paul_musique Nope, this is Dylscore! Dutonic is another fantastic composer, though!
@@dylscore I got confused because your names look similars and you both make Hollow Knight OSTs. I love both your work by the way
