This video is a remake of the Starcraft Original Ending Cinematic. Due to the university graduation exhibition, the video production was delayed, but I quickly resumed work and returned within five months. It was challenging with a lot of FX in the video! It is awesome for fan made content...but are you joking. The teasers and trailers made by blizzard for all 3 parts of Starcraft 2 are completely insane. This is one of the most iconic moments in the game and nothing happens in this whole animation...
@@manga3040 in the context of the original starcraft this is the most important moment, because tassadar destroys the main leader of the swarm with the cost of his life, the original and official animation is technically the same but nakma gave a better quality animation than before due to the limitations of that time and also add more details like the terran keeping the zone and the protoss starting to evacuate. Of course the starcraft 2 cinematics and teaser are incredible but seeing a remastered version of a classic cinematic is like a dream, i just hope it continues with new animations remaking the old ones.

Yeah people are spoiled today...back then when you rendered a model this way there was No Way to also be running damage engines or NPC stacks in files etc

Funny thing is, deep down the Overmind wanted to be destroyed, because it had realized, that it was just a puppet created by Amon to control the zerg. Only its death could free them. Thats why it assimilated Kerrigan in the first place, so that she could unify and lead the race after the Overminds destruction.

I may have watched this an upwards of 30 times now. I loved every detail, from the scourges, the glaive wurm, the reavers, the zerg hives, Tassadar being jostled, all the way down to the rocks and overlords escaping through the rift. I also noticed that the templar's pose at 0:46 greatly resembles the new Protoss defeat screen art in the remaster. A little sad that guardians didn't make the cut, but it never made sense why they flew as fast as mutalisks in the original cinematics anyway.

Do you plan on making more of these?? I hope to see way more, like an animated version of the Death of Fenix and Duke (complete with the dialogue from the game), the ending of Brood War, etc
For Fenix's death, I always imagined Kerrigan destroying his dragoon shell and tearing his body out before stabbing and killing him. Then of course over the coms, she talks to Jim. Hell, I even have a custom Brood War Kerrigan model I made a while back that you may like!
But Fenix was killed by the queen of Broodling

Only complaint is the decision to leave the overmind intact per SCII canon instead of destroyed utterly as per SCI canon. It makes Tassadar's sacrifice a little less meaningful
Real, it's like the overmind just being pushed to the ground, not destroyed like in the cutscene
Wow!! That looks fantastic!! One of the best remade animations I've ever seen!!
Still one of the best moments in gaming history. Very nicely done, much better lighting and camera angles. I do prefer the original's way of disintegrating the Overmind though but I guess that was a decent amount of extra work required for that.

This is simply incredible! I particularly appreciate the additional featuring of the Raiders both in the cinematic itself, and as a dropship/medivac in one of the illustrations in the epilogue

That was amazing. Camera, animation, models, effects: pure eye candy.
My favorite though is the Gantrithor, seing this great ship in such high definition beauty.
You should consider using the real footage of a blimp/zeppelin and replacing the blimp with the Gantrithor. Just a short

Excellent video. Only thing I would have like to have seen was one of the mutalisks shooting glaive wyrm at the hull of the ganthrithor. Muta's make a distinct sound when they attack.
Edit: Appears the attack sound and animation were there - they were SC2 type.

These are far, far better than the original cinematics of the base game from 1998. I am very pleased to see the StarCraft remains alive and well. I still have a weekly TTRPG version of this game going and its great to keep Tassadar's spirit alive. En Taro Tassadar!

I love this, I love the first half and how accurate it is to the original cinematic. the second half I absolutely hate because it is also too accurate to the original. The swirling energies look like 90 effects in a higher resolution. Also the original cinematic of the Gantrithor disintegrating before hitting the overmind was always really tacky, increasing the poly count and lighting effects doesn't really help it much. make no mistake though, I am absolutely thrilled to see this recreated so accurately to such a high standard.
This is exactly how I saw this scene when I played this game as a child... Thank you for this sir
