    Still have mine in 2022 and its running perfect with only scheduled maintenance. Sadly American's don't appreciate small displacement bikes. Everyone thinks they need a monster. Most crash them due to inexperience and lack of skills with a high horsepower machine. This 250 makes decent power in it's rev band and it's weight makes it stable on the freeway which American's will almost occasionally have to jump on even if for a few miles. When I was a teen the Honda 750 four was a monster and most everyone ran around on smaller UJM's. 400-450 cc bikes are perfect for many riders and yet almost none are available anymore. Lower power bikes make you develop good riding skills to maintain speed and don't scare you to lean them. Bikes of 550-650 cc are all most weekend riders and commuters will ever need. Liter bikes require a lot more skill than most riders will develop. Ride what is appropriate for you and not what your ego wants.

    Well three months after buying this to replace my YBR125 and I'm happy. I got a fully faired F model with full service record and less than 3000 miles on the clock for 2500 quid. Top speed about 85-ish and regularly returns a typical 80-ish to the gallon. Does everything a 125 commuter will do, but easier and less stressed. Quality of finish is yet to be tested over a British Winter. IRC Roadwinner tyres not fantastic, but not so dreadful to feel the need to immediately replace them, well, not yet, lol. At its happiest at 55mph in top gear and whilst it will hold a steady 70-75mph, it doesn't like going much faster, despite being able to do so. The seat could do with being better padded for longer trips, but then it isn't a tourer so perhaps unfair to complain about comfort over 20 to 30 miles or more. Most people comment that it looks more like a 500cc and that's another reason I love the Inazuma...... It's a workhorse bike that's bland in performance but doesn't look overly small or inferior at the lights next to others. It's heavier than it should be and is actually heavier than my old 1987 Honda VT500EF which was a shaft drive to boot! But in a roundabout way, it's weight helps it serve the purpose it was made for, so I'm content :)

    I've had mine for 4 years now. Got it as a starter bike after completing my MSF course. I've learned a lot on this bike, cruising around town and even going on the highways (backroads). I've even gone on the interstate in the slow lane and gone exit to exit. I definitely want a larger displacement eventually, but this bike is a lot of fun if you know how to ride it.

    IT SEEMS WISE FOR AN ENTRY LEVEL BIKE TO ENCOURAGE NEW CONVERTS TO THE SPORT
    NOT FRIGHTEN OR INTIMIDATE FROM TRYING IT OUT. WITH IT'S MODEST PRICE EASE OF HANDLING AND SPORTBIKE APPEARENCE IT SHOULD BE VERY ENTICING TO ANY NOVICE
    TO MASTER WHEN CONTEMPLATING THEIR FUTURE ROAD TEST. KUDOS TO SUZUKI.
    BLESSINGS,MARK ANTHONY.

    This is a great review. I had one of these, and it was a great bike! The only reason i got rid of it is because i traded it in for a Harley 1200 Low Sportster. I love my Harley, but i miss the economy and the fun of riding the Inazuma. I'm not tall, only 5ft 8, and Its a comfortable good size for me, looks good and very easy to ride. I want another one. If they had these with a 500cc engine, i would get one.

    it's a very complete bike it has even a gear indicator and rev limit light as standard, if it had ABS would even been better, the big drawback is the weight, which is a lot for a 250 bike, but maybe they compensate this with a very good Center of gravity.

    The information in this video is counter-intuitive. The motor is under-square [stroke > Bore] which means it's going to be better through the low to mid range not the top end of its rev limit.
    Hence, you don't need to rev the ring out of it to get it too perform.

      @thomasb1205 5 лет назад +1

      Mine certainly feels best at the higher revs, sure it pulls perfectly well low down but the engine feels sweetest (smoothest and best responding) between 6-10k

    i have no other option in Pakistan but to buy this thing in coming april.. Anything you guys would like to say about this machine? Can i use it for like 3 years without a problem? I am into touring, obviously will keep it on clean roads. No offroading sadly.

      xBhp covers this bike in pretty good detail, but I can say you will get the _big bike feel_ with this Inazuma + great quality, decent performance and awesome fuel economy. I find it only aesthetically acceptable, but it is truly a distinctive bike for not a lot of $$. Keep your expectations in check, and you will not be disappointed. Cheers from Mexico.

      Thank you so much for your valuable insight.
      Yes i am not expecting much out of it but considering 125cc i am riding currently, i am sure it is a reasonable upgrade.

    seems a funny time of year to release a new model? I worry that by the time high riding season comes back around, Honda will overshadow them with their new cbr 300, and all the other entry level bikes. Shame, wish the best to Suzuki in their comeback!

    Looks like they recycled alot of GS500F parts for this bike. Suziki needs a a new 500cc bike, A 500 Gixxer would be cool.

  • @thebigwarthog

    This is the cheapest bike from the 3 Japanese bike makers being that it's made in China. Not thrilled with the dual exhaust & for a 250 it's heavy at around 190kg or so which is around the same weight as a CBR500 or CB500F.

  • @TD402dd
    @TD402dd 9 лет назад

    It's heavy and slow, and one reviewer said it best not travel above 70 mph. I wonder how the magazine will unload on a good bike and build up a bad one.
