In Greece it goes like this: 16 y-o: up to 50cc 18 y-o: up to 125cc 20 y-o: up to 400cc 24 y-o: unlimited cc I think that's how it works in the rest of the EU too. Not sure

In Turkey: 16 y-o: up to 125 cc and 11 kW 18 y-o: up to 600 cc and 35 kW If you have 2 years of experience with 600 cc license you can have the unlimited cc license If not you have to wait till 24 y-o. Also with automobile license you can use up to 50 cc.
Bought my 2015 GW 250 in September 2019 yea that old but new . Cost me 2600$ last one they had so I got a hefty savings deal . I’ve road so many types of bikes and brands in the 40+ years of riding . When I spotted it on the shroom room floor thought it was a 650 frame . I was there buying paint for another bike lol I bought the GW ended up with paint and a new bike . After just over 600 miles I’m blown away at the handling of this bike . It’s fun as hell riding through these Ozark mountains where we live . I added windshield , touring hard case rear mounted , added a grab bar for passenger to hold on and center the balance . It connects to the gas tank fill lip . This avoids fighting the passengers movements as they stay centered and a tight fit . As for interstate riding it’s easy handling floating suspension like riding a heavier bike . But as for long riding at interstate speeds this bike can but really designed for the slower state highways and in town but way fun on the mountain back highways . Seriously plenty of pulling power on the steepest mountain roads . I’m 5’9” weigh 160 pounds and have power even at the top end . I would think a heavier person say 200+ pounds will have a different amount of stress on the 26hp engine but let me say my 160 + my wife 154 pounds power having 6 gears come in very handy and not a sluggish pick up with two riders . For a 250 cc bike I’m very impressed how easily it handles . This bike for back wood riding where common speeds are between 25 - 60 mph you have lots of pick up on the steepest mountain inclines . If your already a very experienced rider riding the back country you can throw your self in the corners and feel right and balanced . No vibrations in your hands . If your just learning to ride a bike this is so easy to maneuver and should you feel the need to get on it it will zip right off . Just a dam fun bike !
Was that price of $2600 an out the door price? What state did you buy from? I'm currently looking at a new 2017 GW 250 and dealer wants $3300 out the door
Arkansas , minus 500$ I traded in a Honda scooter I bought for 300$ only had 470 miles on it . Total was 2200+ they wanted it gone it is a big bike showroom . There is over 100 bikes always on display . This was their last one so I got a fantastic deal I could not walk away from .
Yes i agree with you back some years ago 125cc bikes were good and powerfull and 250cc bikes were power houses ha ha they are certainly different now i personally think, like you say it maybe an age thing, good video...
@ Arithia - I recently purchased a fitted a SC Project S1 and I'm not using AR GP1R but long term reliability if two years tally, it has been perfect, no issue what so ever on and off track, the biggest bonus to this exhaust is the ability to use the DB killer unlike my SC Project S1. The only very small issue which was the carbon which bolts on near the link the pipe is missing, I assumed I accidentally kicked it off, but it did look great without exposing the blue titanium pipe.
It some countries, we have only the naked version. It's the case in France. Do you know where to buy complete fairing and handle bar to modify a 250 to a 250F version ?

Interested to know long term reliability, screaming in the high revs as it does. It does everything a bike needs to do on the street.

I have the naked one. It's a little harsh to ride on the highway.
