Thanks for watching Lisa, we really enjoyed sharing our take on a roast dinner with you. The chicken comes all prepared and ready for roasting, it's lazy really but so much easier 🙈.
So lovely you make a “roast dinner” for your parents 🥰. It all reminds me of what my mum would make for Sunday dinner when I was growing up….all except the Yorkshire pudding 😳….that seems more like a popover than pudding for us here in the states🤷🏼♀️. Lovely to see you both, miss your humor on Mapperton and AV. Will try to tip for all your tips on cooking 😍. Stay well till next time 👋🏻❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much for your kind tip and continuing to support our channel, it means so much to us to have fans like you who are willing to contribute in this way ❤️ We hope you are enjoying our recent content from Yorkshire!
Aww such a cute guinea pig 🥰, and you have a lovely kitchen. I bet your kitchen smells delicious 😋 right now. The dinner looks very delicious. I think your cute little dog thinks so to lol Miss seeing more of you both and not just on Mapperton. Have a wonderful weekend.
I only realized today that you guys had your own RUclips channel! I was watching Luke and Julie’s “romantic picnic“ and they plugged your channel. I wish I had known about it before. You guys are adorable! And what a great job you do. Love your little doggie.
Yummy, nice video. It’s great to see the short cuts you have there like the pre-bagged roast chicken, the gravy mix and the Crisp n Dry. A bit different from our U.S. versions and much better quality I suspect.
We are lucky where we live because there are a lot of high quality food options, albeit they are quite expensive. We tend to err on the side of laziness, with those shortcuts, but enjoy cooking dinners like this, mostly from scratch!
I wonder what the American equivalent to Crisp 'n Dry is. I see that I can order it here from Amazon just like I order British Heinz Beanz every now and then. It seems to be rapeseed oil that's somehow made solid at room temperature. We have Crisco over here but I never use it as it's all trans fat and worse than if you just used lard. I usually just use clarified butter but maybe I'll try something new.
@@tryingnottotourist2588 But unlike our Crisco it's not hydrogenated so it's not going to be a trans fat product. I do kind of wonder how they make a solid block like how we used to could buy Crisco and still can buy lard instead of the can or tub. Honestly in this case I very well might use Armour lard or fresh rendered lard I have access to here in south Texas at Mexican grocery stores. I wouldn't do it every week or even once a month but a couple of times a year couldn't be all that bad.
Yes, we do have carvary, pot roast and barbecues. What you are making looks so good and healthy.😊
Thanks for watching, the roast was lovely thank you, but I'm not sure all that butter and oil was that healthy, but it was worth it 😊
I miss seeing you both on Mapperton and American Viscountess! Glad to see you're both doing well 🙂❤ !! Looks like a delicious dinner!
It was so good, thank you for your continued support of the channel!
@@StephenandClaire You're welcome 🤗! I hope you both have a wonderful week ❤️
Enjoyed your video. I have never seen any chickens that come ready to roast like the one you have. Our Sunday dinners vary more than perhaps yours do.

Nice kitchen! My mother, the British half, made the best Sunday Roast Beef.
Thanks for watching. Nothing can beat a Sunday roast in our opinion 😊
Wonderful meal you two. Looks delicious😋
It was! Thank you for the comment and continued support of our channel!
@@StephenandClaire my pleasure to support you guys. Hope you both are having a wonderful day☀️💕

This is really fun. You two are very good cooks...I know this for a fact. Love you guys xoxo
Thanks for watching 😊 Stephen and I definitely have very different opinions when it comes to cooking 😂
💜🎣
We do a roast in New Zealand too throw back to empire days , but peeled spuds are far better 😊
You can't beat a roast dinner! We won't show Claire this comment, she would definitely disagree about the spuds 😂 Thanks for watching

My guess is just generic shortening and Crisco is the most popular option in the US.

Roast lamb here today😊
Sounds delicious! We cooked lamb on the barbecue yesterday, had the whole family over! Hope you're having a lovely weekend ❤️
