That has to be the best battle I've ever seen! It almost seemed like it was anyone's pyrrhic victory all the way up until the end. From the vantage points in the trenches looking out at the throngs coming at you, I can only imagine what they must've seen and felt at Kursk. War is hell.
Game looks good, only wish that the battlefields were bigger- like in Graviteam Tactics. I don't like the simulation of artillery being so close to the front lines.
Dude i watch your videos for a longe time and they hare great but in my opinion the way you show us the batlle is losing quality, seems you focus in litlle things missing a lot of action. I know you can´t be all over the place but...
Dude why? He’s not hurting anyone, and you gain nothing from saying that. If you don’t like it don’t watch it it’s that simple, but stop shitting on people who haven’t done anything to you.
@@inspirationman2737 Yeah, I hear you. But ya gotta admit, he is a *little* cringe. I'm an Afghanistan vet, and there's something a bit cringe about a guy talking about (even theoretical) humans burning and announcing "It's barbecue season, boys!" There was plenty of other cringe, but that's a good (full body shiver) example. That said, I'm kind of used to people doing stupid shit because they've never seen actual death and destruction. Like those commercials with people's heads exploding and purple shit flying out (their interpretation of, "mind blown"); too reminiscent of the real thing, and they have no idea how crass it is to think it's funny. So I have to be understanding of their ignorance, you see. So, ummm, maybe, in your great wisdom and tolerance, you might understand if someone who has seen some actual shit thinks that this was cringe as fuck, and simply let them express themselves. Thank you for being such a beacon of light and understanding. Have a nice day.

@@skipdreadman8765 Hey man, I hear you. What I do is gameplay commentary, and that’s not meant to be to heavy on people. It’s light talk, despite the topic at hand.
@@DiplexHeated Like I said; sometimes I have to be understanding. Still, bear in mind what this game you're playing is depicting. It's a computerized reenactment of historical conflict; a conflict that tore millions literally asunder. Some of us have seen what "literally torn asunder" looks like. It's not "light." It's serious shit. Deep shit. Give that thought a moment. Then, perhaps it's your turn to be understanding of how that sounds to someone who has seen the elephant. Perhaps, just perhaps, a little reticence about things like "barbecue season" would be appropriate. I'm just sayin'.
The game really evolved a lot, can't wait for it to leave beta. But something that is still very frustating, is the tanks ia indecision to select targets 😂😂😂
And the fact that tanks often in an unrealistic manner turn and expose their side armour to enemy tanks and AT guns that the tankers can clearly see and get destroyed.
I like the scale on this one. Yes it's crazy but the amount of armor and infantry spread over a large map is great. A big battle on a small map feels too confined where destroyed tanks just stack on top of each other. So next time when you have a lot of troops, choose a big map like this.
It would be cool to see a late war german assault to try and break out of an encirclement. Encirclements became common as the Russians steamrolled back through Poland.
The reason the ferdys are on the flat ground is because historically they couldn't go up hills without there engines exploding or transmission failing. There is this one story I think it was the Americans defending some hill as the Germans pushed up there ferdys and being hunkered down they started hearing explosion's which they thought was artilery but when they peaked on up they saw it was the ferdys engines exploding as they advanced up the hill with pillars of smoke coming from the vehicles.
That guy with the Panzerschreck at 34:00 just keeps firing at infantry after losing all tank support. He gets the award for sharpest tool in the box XD
It would be really cool to see some Russian OT-34's. The Russian's replaced the hull machine gun on several T-34/76 companies with flamethrower. Really nasty tanks.
All of these comments saying the video is great, 1 second after it was uploaded not even enough time to watch it lmao. Ill say hope it is as good as the others!
The Ferdinand came before the Elephant, you can tell which ones what by the coaxial MG, which the Ferdinand doesnt have, that came latter in the war along with some other upgrades, then they were renamed Elephants. Alot of cool history behind that tank destroyer. 11-1 K/D Ratio during the war give or take.
Hey Diplex, I’m glad you’re still uploading similar content to before. I remember the good old days when I would stay up until 2 am and watch your custom battle videos back in 2016. Anyway, I hope you are still having fun with the custom games and I’m glad that I can get back to binge watching your content again!
I recommend you download hangem highs soundscape on the call to arms workshop and apply it to the editor battles it will add to the ambiance, and make battles sound even better
In reality, the Soviet troops plunged the germans and romanians into a boiling hell, liberating the Crimea in 1944 . The "Crimean Offensive Operation" began on april 8 and ended on may 12, 1944 with the complete defeat of the wehrmacht's 17th army and the romanian divisions . The idea of the Crimean operation was to use the forces of the Soviet troops to launch a simultaneous attack from two directions in the general direction of Simferopol and Sevastopol, to dismember and destroy the enemy group, preventing its evacuation from the Crimea.
This battle reminds me of my favorite mod for MOWAS called Neverending Battles. In that you had to defend prepared positions against hordes of enemy troops. In terms of graphics, realism and overall fun, the battle in your video seems much better than that mod.
The Germans were the ones who invented mobile rocket artillery. They mounted towed 6 barrel rockets launchers on half tracks an used against the russians effectively.
Is it possible to have a night battle with just tracer shells for all weapons? That would be epic!
Noooooo
ruclips.net/video/ZHaGLfh6Tow/видео.html
Yesss
man that rocket artillery was deadly
You: I wonder how many soldiers I got killed in my videos?
Me: Probably so numerous that you can talk in 3rd person.

Nice. Reminiscent of a scene from the film 1944 forced to fight with the Soviet tank attack v german trenches.
Bro I thought you were trying to wait for that pack to shoot and then you’re like all right drink break LMAO
Do an alternate history series where the subscribers get to decide what happens that would be sick
I think beheld is a word, the past tense, and the passive of behold. Examples: A sight to behold. / The action beheld by us.
I love the flame thrower we need more of them
your energy >
Lol that German at the end that was just pumping out Panzerschreks.
19:06 One of the flamethrower troops ignites a friendly
This game is beautiful. And also ... horrifying.
I guess that it does not necessarily require a ridiculous number of Soviets to defeat the Germans, just a ridiculous amount of rocket artillery.
I think this mans is cracked
Damm this was a good battle
The german dude with the panzerschrek at 13:22 deserves an iron cross😂
Did a bullet shell bounce of the shield at 13:20 ?! Madlad

Have you thought about using realistic trenches? as in reading the literal German army manuals and trying to follow their instructions.
That would be super cool
Rocket artillery... The stuff that'll kill you, the guy next to you and the guys in the next grid square.
He starts the battle around the 7:30 mark. But don't worry he pretty much talks through the whole damn video. Lots of silly accents as always.

how do you access the editor for gates to hell? i can't find it

that rocket launcher guy at 32:55 is going ham lol
The german with the panzershrek that knocked out the massive tank was a hero
And so was that dude firing Katyusha rocket while just recklessly cruising forward. Dude didn't even care if he's gonna get hit by a tank.
good vid love it
Is it me or the katushia sounds arent realistic? From what ive heard in ww2 documentaries... this is not it

amazing battle. Can we have a german counter attack with soviet defense? We haven't seen late war soviet defense with german attack.
What is the song at the intro?
Could the 122 neutral turn like it did in this video?
Is gates of hell gonna be a separate game sold at full price or is it going to be an expansion for call to arms?
You need to have at least the Basic version of Cta so I‘d say it‘s an expansion

War never ends for some people 😅
Imo the German tanks would be more dug in and that there is a lack of artillery for the Germans. They would never leave the Frontline without it.

I can see why you don't use rocket artillery much, so devastating to ground troops and trenches!!! Great video though, absolutely loved it!!!
Do an alternate history series
Great video man keep up the good work
Me when the video came out: That is a cool looking map
Me now: wait a minute, isn't this map from the Russian campaign?
MORE MORTARS DAMN IT!!! never enough mortars in a defensive battle!!! And more MG's too.
if I'm not confused, then the killer of animals was called ISU-153

USSR and Germany. They plan to add other factions after release though.
