I have very fond memories of Turkey. We had a road trip on a BMW 750 cc touring bike we purchased in Germany and drove through Eastern Europe. My recollection of Turkey is the people are basically very friendly to foreign visitors. They do not hesitate to approach you and ask some friendly curious questions.
We were out in the open on the bike and so it was easy to mingle with the locals. My husband and l took the same route from Istanbul to Ankara and certainly agree with the scenic view along the way. Seeing your trips make me nostalgic and happy at the same time.
Been there few years ago when my daughter was studying in Marmara U. for her graduate studies. Turkey is such a beautiful country and food is cheap!
I usually download a movie + bring some snacks. Entertain the driver, a good conversation is

When we go for long driving, my husband always drive. I don’t sleep because I want to entertain my husband so he doesn’t get bored or when he’s sleepy, I pinch him. Hehehe. Just like you, I also feed him. We love listening to different genres of music while munching on snacks. 😊

That's a beautiful & nice drive on the road to Cappadocia.I hope you had a chance & time to stop by the Istanbul airport to check out the "lost & found" luggages that are usually stored in a huge room full of them as I've seen them on the news reports.It was also shown at the London Heathrow airport, where
there was a room full of luggages that look like they're unclaimed luggages.Hope Marin can get them back even if it took like forever. Good luck! Great vlog & enjoyed watching the view along the way.Stay safe.

You are right Ave, one part of your trip looked like a trip from Virginia to West Virginia. You’re funny you are a typical Filipino you take-home cooked foods to the road. Reminds me of my childhood. You are correct, it looks like the bread basket area in U.S. I have been in Colorado as a student at Colorado State University..So I was able to travel to Nebraska...South Dakota and Wyoming..back to Denver. So those vast planes I saw on ur vlog in Turkey are similar that in U.S.

Hello beautiful couple!. What a long drive and also beautiful place big highway and no traffic. I feel you Ave about a long drive. Last year we drove from Arizona to Washington state to visit my family and it took us about 25hrs drive but ofcourse we stopped few times for gas and etc. I hope you had a fun and exciting time there. ✌

Yes, that highway and scenery could easily be in here the US.Even the gas station rest stops and the high green highway signs and multi-lane. I am a Californian so I feel best when I have my wheels! I love long road trips on my own with my dog.I like to listen to music, sing loudly, think about life, set some goals, and just absorb what I am seeing as I drive.To me an 8 hour drive is not that long- especially on a good road.
Interesting! I guess why it wasn't as exhausting as we thought it would be is because they have good roads in Turkey! definitely a recommended alternative way to travel around the beautiful country
