Girl! My dead pile is crammed into my back bedroom. Yes, I put my things in plastic tubs, too.
Now I can't even get into the room because my hubby put our old recliner smack dab into the doorway!!!

I went to an estate auction yesterday. There was an unusual fluted edge terra cotta pot that I wanted near the end of the auction. I bid $7 for it because I really liked it so much. The auctioneers were ready to get finished with the auction. They had some box deals that they put on the table with the pot. I got all of it for $7. When I unloaded the boxes at home, I discovered 7 barely used 100% leather purses. One still had the tags on it. I also got a couple of small vintage Pyrex dishes in another box. I came home with a little junk, but I got way more than $7 worth of merchandise.😂 I was a happy girl😊
I think your sharing your dead pile encourages the rest of us to eliminate those things we no longer want, need or can repair…the things that wear us down when they could be passed on to others! Thank you!

😱can there EVER be too much thrifting? Come now! I LOVE going thrifting with you. Yvonne…I think some folks don’t really understand the nature of your business because things change and you either change with it or become obsolete! I also know that our economy requires you to be very fluid in your business practices. All that being said, I for one can’t thank you enough for sharing all you do with us. I am living in VERY stressful times right now with Hunny’s health issues and the creators I watch are helping me greatly in keeping my sanity on the toughest days and making me chuckle on the good days. Don’t ever second guess what you are sharing for a great many of your subscribers are enjoying each and every visit…and I’m ALWAYS greatful for Chris as he brings me many memories of when my own sweet husband did lots and lots of things like he does. So I’m all for Chris having a few more days off just to enlighten and entertain us right along side you Yvonne!!!:):):)

So glad I found your Channel. I love your attitude to life and your cheery demeanour. I have never been one to like pieces with chippy paint or rusty areas until I found your videos. You really have great vision and the items you work on look lovely after being refurbished. I also love the visits to auctions and antique shops. You have so many of these available to you. I live on Guernsey, a small island in the Channel Islands between U.K. and France and, obviously, the shops and auctions are limited although items found can be very old and have a lot of history.
YES! You inspired me! You are so right about keeping the studio space uncluttered and free to use! Clutter is a right ball and chain! As for all your shopping, thrifting vids...please keep them coming! I am somewhat limited in mobility and mostly housebound but I love adventuring vicariously through you!

I’m happy to say I’ve achieved my goal and we will be parking both our cars in the garage this winter (there’s room for them now!🎉)

I have full bins up in the attic area I have no idea what is where. Yes I have to get rid of a lot of stuff. No auction just thrift stores I have to take it to. It’s making me so sad because I’ll have to quit crafting. I’m doing my last bazaar this year and it’s breaking my heart along with my soul. As a life long collector and former antique dealer from the 70’s, who specialized in primitives, I am always going through my stuff and reorganizing. . I wish I had the drive to sell some of it since it seems to be coming back in style.
I love the thrifting videos. If a person is not in the mood, don’t watch 😊 I love them because I have one thrift/antique shop near me and I have a booth in it so I live vicariously through you. Here in northern Minnesota directly on the Canadian border and the nearest town with a Walmart and shopping opportunities is 2 hours away.

We have been going through our garage too and I have been selling things locally on FB marketplace. It actually feels good to get rid of stuff! I have a love for primitives and neutrals.

Like I said in a couple of videos ago I’m in the process of moving so I completely understand what you’re saying . I live in a 4 bedroom house alone now and it has a huge attic and it’s just as full as the rest of the house . I’ve lived here for many years and I can’t believe all of the stuff that I’ve accumulated it’s kind of overwhelming me and I’m at a standstill right now . I’ve got to regroup and get back at it tomorrow because I’ve still got a long way to go before I’m done. My health isn’t the best so that sorta hinders the process as well so again I do understand . It’s good that you share the reality of your experience. Life is not all sunshine and roses. Although I don’t like ‘chippy’ and can tolerate some crazing I still really enjoy watching your channel. I did mention once before that maybe you could do some less distressed items for the customers who prefer that look. I honestly think it would add to your sales by widening your customer base. Not everyone has the same taste and maybe just a few items with a different finish would make a profit for you. You do such a good job when you upgrade things so I’d buy from you. Good luck with all your Christmas 🎅 stash and little bendy elves and Shiny Brights. 🎅😂

Oh Yvonne, that side board?? (I don't know what it's called) in the barn that you said was made of particle board, could you not disassemble it and use it for signs? Especially the doors? You could cut them in half lengthwise and make 2 signs out of each door. Maybe at least get some use out of it and some of your money back? Even if it's particle board, a sign is still possible; I, personally, don't buy signs for outdoors, only for the inside. I'm sure others do too.
Any true flipper has a dead pile. 😂
