Those of us who were lucky enough to watch the pirate show at TI count ourselves fortunate to be able to be part of Las Vegas history - the Treasure Island pirate show was the best free show in Vegas!
I always recommend first time Vegas travelers to just walk up and down the strip and see all the hotels and people watch. That in itself is the best free entertainment for me. I'll always remember the TI Pirate show and Mirage volcano, my first trip to Vegas was in 95 and I stayed at Treasure Island. Good times!
The volcano at the Mirage is so great as I've seen it several times. I saw the pirate show at TL and it was so good, they shouldn't have taken it away.
That's really good when it comes to free shows! It's great that the fountains at the Bellagio operate quite often during the day so that you can easily catch them going off.
The fountain is blocked from the strip as they are building something for NFL or something. The volcano is half torn down already to be converted into a snow-peaked mountain

I saw the fountain show from the Eifel tower restaurant(when my company paid😁) across the street. Had to really strain to hear the synchronized music. So nonchalantly, after the conservatory go to the Mirage volcano... it's not a walk.😁 Great tip on gift shop Welcome to Las Vegas signs. Saves a trip, especially if you don't have a car. Or after the volcano walk to see the Las Vegas sign.😂
Great video. If I could go to one place it would be the fountains, & the gardens inside. Not to be missed. I missed you talking about the strip downtown with the show above. They turn off the lights during the show & I have a couple of drawings/paintings done by the street artists downtown & sometimes you find one that you like being sold at a reduced price.
I lived in Vegas back in the 90s and the biggest draws were the Pirates show, Bellagio fountains and the Forum shops at Caesar’s with the talking statues. Looks like Circus Circus is still as dismal looking as it was 25 years ago! Lots more options now for free things to see!
Getting rid of the Volcano at the Mirage is a sacrilegious Vegas act. 😞 And you’re absolutely right, the Volcano is the coolest (or should I say the hottest 😀) and the most iconic free Vegas attraction. Shame on those who are bent on demolishing it. May their new business never makes a penny. 😂 A great list, Chris.
Side question - Have you tried Gordon Ramsay Burger spot in Planet Hollywood? Is it worth? I’ve been curious about it for awhile but just haven’t tried it yet as I’m sometimes skeptical of celebrity chef’s restaurants. 😅
I would avoid it and choose the pub and grill in caesers. Burgers are...burgers and hefty pricing and really a little wierd. The set menu is awesome. I recommend the soup and i hate onions. Seriously. The wellington IS his signature dish.

I love the Las Vegas places he was at, the free shows and even the G Smoke Yellow shirt he is wearing! He's goated for wearing G SMOKE YELLOW! I have to subscribe to the guy! 🐐 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You said you could watch the Bellagio Fountains from the pedestrian bridge, isn't it illegal now to be standing on the pedestrian bridge.? You can get arrested and a fine up to $1, 000, for standing on the pedestrian bridge.
If you're *_loitering,_* or obstructing (eg panhandling, sleeping, "performing", playing 3 card monte) you will be ticketed. Ordinary stopping or waiting will not be ticketed.

As of today yes it's still there. The Mirage hotel shuts down on July 14 so I'm guessing that would be the Volcanos last day too

Yeah. The sidewalk in front is blocked off. You can still watch it from the ramp up to the hotel lobby though

Fremont st is not on strip but is good for free entertainment bands and magic etc. Good buskers and performers and the cops keep the crazies down.

There are better places to watch that than on bridge off to side and you wont hear music.
I’ve stopped there many times & never had any concerns/problems. It’s also a great place to take my video & not fight the people elsewhere.
New law just passed - now it is illegal to stand still on pedestrian bridges. I live here, so this is absolutely the new law, started in Jan 2024.
@@BebeSarah The law will be applied to people loitering and soliciting.
