Full-Size SUVs are an important segment in North America, and the luxury space is dominated by one main vehicle, the Cadillac Escalade. It would be hard to not discuss how the Escalade fits into this, but we want to give buyers a second and third option, being the Grand Wagoneer and Lincoln Navigator. It's important to note that while the Jeep is a long wheelbase and the Lincoln isn't, we've done everything we can to compare them as if they were long variants. The dimensions and capacities we discuss are all based off both vehicles being long wheelbase models.
We go over the technical specifications of both SUVs along with some of their key features that help make it stand out compared to the other. We also go over some of the reasons you'd be looking at either one of these vehicles, as each caters to a slightly different type of buyer. We go over the exterior looks, interior feel, and all three rows on both SUVs.
We then take both vehicles on the road back to back to talk about how the drive, ride, and perform, along with our thoughts on both after spending a week with each one. We wrap up with our pick in the segment between these two, along with which we'd choose if the Cadillac Escalade was in the mix.

Rumor is the Navigator is getting a redesign for the 2025 model year. If done well it will be the clear choice imo.
It's about time. If it takes it's cues from the Nautilus it should be a welcomed update.
I myself love giant SUVs. I love the Escalade V the most because of the horsepower. I love the navigator second because they offer a vehicle that is baby blue on the outside and baby blue on the inside. And I love the Wagoneer just cause it’s a behemoth and the electronics are really cool.
There's certainly something about driving massive vehicles, I do like the fit of them personally.
Lincoln looks way better
Looks way too dated in my opinion.
@@AbdussalamMisbahudeen what's funny, I thought the same for the Wagoneer.... But still happy Jeep still uses the 7 bar grille design... They keep their identity... Ford and Lincoln change everything every new model
I think the new design language for Lincoln looks sharp, a little like what Buick has been doing for half a decade but still elegant. I'll be very interested to see the next-generation Navigator.
The back looks better on the Lincoln but the front undeniably goes to the jeep
The sides of the jeep look awful with that chrome.
Lincoln would corner the market but they just drop the ball on the tech. For me it's a family car. How do you not have any infotainment in the rear? No HDMI? Keeping passengers entertained is important. No rear shades? Just a basic rear view mirror? Can't talk to the 3rd row passengers through the tech. Rear massage is nice my kids want it all but if they have to choose they are taking the tech over massage any day of the week and that will honestly most likely be the deciding factor for our purchase.
I put 18 in wheels on my expedition platinum, which is mechanically very similar to the Nav. The ride quality improved greatly from the OEM 22s. If I had the Nav, I'd lose the 22s and go with 20s or even 18s. It may not look as good, but much more comfortable. Unless you have air suspension, 22 in wheels suck for bumpy roads, IMO.
Smaller rims is definitely a trend that needs to come back. The ride on a lot of new vehicles suffer because of these extremely low-profile tires.
The GW Obsidian is a much better choice. All the unnecessary chrome trimmings make the C pillar on back look way too busy(lol they even chromed the tail lights). The standard Wagoneer actually looks better extreriolly (especially carbide) if you could option for the light effects. Also, forcing buyers to have to go GW for a simple powerfolding mirrror feature is ridiculous.
It's definitely good to have choice!
Lincoln
Good choice!
The inside of that grand wagoneer looks way more like a hotel on wheels
Feels like one too!
When you're launching the Grand Wagoneer you need to brake boost (for longer than you did). It holds boost really well and it just goes. Hauls ass.
Good to know! That inline 6 engine is really solid, was a good move on Chrysler's part to replace the ageing V8s.
grand Wagoneer
Good choice!
This is going to be epic!!! And I'll quote the great philosopher Terrell Owens for this one "Get Ur Popcorn!!" and now it is time for me to enjoy😁😁😁
Hope you enjoyed it, thanks!
If you have the series 3 GRAND wagoneer you should have the Lincoln black label
They don’t offer that here in Canada.
@@PRNTestDrive oh ok no problem
The Lincoln looks so much better, idk what Jeep was thinking with this design.
Good thing is buyers have some choice. Some are going to prefer the Wagoneer, others the Navigator.
I’m speculating here, but I feel like 90% of people don’t use their sunroofs.
I’d say there are some people that don’t use it at all, I fact we’ve heard from a lot of commenters over the years who say they’d prefer not having one, and Chrysler has historically been one of the few brands that makes it an option rather than a forced feature based on a trim.
Navi %100
Good choice!
In any new vehicle the big turn off will always be the maintenance cost, but also y’all are insane to buy this new out of the lot for this vehicles devalue ridiculous fast.
Most do unfortunately. But maintenance costs will be high even if you buy something like this in the used market.
My son is 6ft 6inches and he fits great and has plenty of headroom in the back seat. I don’t know what is going on with the one you are testing. I have a 2024 Lincoln Navigator. It has the captain chairs in the back seat.
Does he recline the seat perhaps? I (Nile) like to sit upright in any vehicle.
Even with low reliability rating of Lincoln it still feels like it's the clear choice.
Neither really score high marks in the reliability department.
the Grand Wagoneer has nicer interior but both nice.. good review guys....
Glad you liked it, thanks for checking it out!
What you said about the Cadillac is not correct. With the diesel the Cadillac can only tow up to 8 000 lbs. And while the Cadillac does look sportier, the 0 to 60 times on the Grand Wagoneer is better.
Thank you 🙏 great 👍 SUV 🚙 great 👍 reaction 👏👏👏do they come with heavy duty wheels 🛞🚙👍👋☮️
Both were wide wheel sets, 22" for both I believe.
Man the jeep is ugly, jeep is cheap, go Lincoln
We're hoping for a refreshed Navigator soon, while it's still handsome it has aged quite a bit since it first launched.
