My wife and I would have watched the new Mad About You if we'd had any idea it even existed. How do you expect a series to be successful at all when you run it on a streaming service that no one's ever heard of??
I watched it on Amazon Prime. It was pretty good.
That's probably why it wasn't successful. I don't think the studio wanted it to be and wouldn't promote it or back it the way they did other reboots like Will & Grace.

She made enough money from just that last season on "Mad about You" and the movie "Twister" that she didn't need to worry about what roles to take or if she ever was gonna get any roles, she is just focusing on the craft of acting and directing now.
She had a vital role in the PBS WWII series "World on Fire" in 2018 or so.
Her and Sean Bean were written out of the new series.

I liked the lady windermeres fan adaptation. Hunt was ok but they did cool things with the play which makes it worth a watch

I loved And Then She Found Me. It is one of the few films about Jewish American Women that is very good and very much nails the issues that Jewish Woman have. I am Jewish and I appreciate that she got it right. I had no idea when I saw this film that Ms Hunt has Jewish Ancestry. The Jewish Elements in the film were done well. Often Jewish People are portrayed on film very badly. And I can say as an actor that the fact that as a woman in an Industry that men control she is directing and creating her own projects, she doing a fine job. I am not crazy about this slam job that you are doing on this woman.
The mad about you reboot should have been on Netflix or HBO or literally any other station then Spectrum. No one has spectrum !

The nail on the coffin for Twister sequels was the death of Bill Paxton. Hollywood should know by now that if you go woke, you go broke. Just watch Disney implode. Helen Hunt is a good actress. She chose a lot of good roles but she is only remembered for the bad ones. She is one of the only ones who has not had plastic surgery to stay young and not look like herself. She does look good as an older actress. Which is exactly what I would expect her to be, based on her womens rights stance.

I agree so much!!!! I hate to say it, but a big reason for her career downfall is horrible plastic surgery. She doesn't look like the same person... Even if she wasn't aging well, she could still have built off her "look", that had character, and she was able to act with it... But, she seems like a good person, and I'm glad for her that finances will never be an issue...

To be honest her Oscar win came from a pretty flimsy film and relatively easy to play character and put her in a range where she really shouldn't have been.

Unfortunately, women don't seem to age well. This means that the softness characterized by the ideal woman and good looks, which are the main attraction for men, are no longer there. Men and women are not equal to each other as much as they are different from each other. No one's fault. It's just the way it is in many cases.
The upshot is some women get a lot of attention because of their looks, with no effort.
