Ace, you are a content monster! You post regularly, sometimes in more than once a day, and all your topics are interesting. That in itself is remarkable. Keep the content coming, and Thanks again.
Great stuff as always Ace! Bringing the people A+ material on a consistent basis! Well done sir! Looking forward to getting Runnin with the Devils nation together for some beers 🍺 at a game this year. Keep doing what you do brother
I’m surprised that Gritsyuk isn’t in the top 7 or even among the honorable mentions. He’s been performing quite well in the KHL, so seeing Hameenaho listed ahead of him is a bit perplexing. Looking ahead, I believe we might be on the brink of a new golden era for our defense. With players like L Hughes, Nemec, Silayev, and Casey in the mix, there's a solid chance that this group could evolve into an exceptional defensive unit, even if not all reach their ceiling. Meanwhile Jack Hughes, Bratt, Hischier, Meier, etc, should continue to provide our signature elite core four, and we have enough "good enough" forward prospects that I'm not too worried about filling out an effective bottom six. The key challenges will be our future goalie and finding another top-six forward or two. But these are doable through a combination of drafting, trades, and FA, if we are smart. Think of the Dallas Stars’ trajectory: they were a powerhouse during the Benn-Seguin era, then regrouped to continue being contenders with their current roster of Heiskanen, Robertson, and others. Great content as always, Ace!
@junglestatic Gritsyuk was not eligible because of age. (he's already 23) He definitely would have been an honorable mention at worst. The defense in 3-5 years from now could be insane. I believe in the core four. I expect a big year from this revamped team. Hopefully the future goalie is one of the many guys in the system right now. I
I would like to see Luke work on his first pass out of the D zone. Too many times last season he thought he could get a pass through a forechecker (or didn't see the opposing player) that had disastrous results. Also, hopefully he has been hitting the gym (heard Ole Lindy never made them last year) if Luke could do those two things this year he will take a huge step in reaching his potential, IMO.
@michaels7134 I think that is a bit more of a decision making thing. He needs to cut down on some of the riskier type plays. Sometimes a safe chip up the boards is the play to make. I fully believe he will get better with this. I also hope he comes in a bit bulkier. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!
Awesome to still be in the top 10 but we do definitely need a few more forwards in the pipeline for when we’re against the cap and need production on ELCs. Not a huge deal but I am a bit higher on Casey than a few guys ahead of him and agree he would be a good piece for a trade unless one of our roster defensemen are moved in next couple of years
1) The Holtz-Akira trade was a tragic miscalculation. I will be keeping an eye on LA this season to see how bad a mistake we made. 2) JH is hands down the most brilliant young skater. His brother Luke, while a good player, falls a bit short. He is a good player, but my hope on the blue line rests with Silayev. 3) Project Silayev: It was a great catch. I love the possibility range he made available for us just by existing. With that being said. We need him to get to the States ASAP! We need him to be developed properly and to be fit to play in NHL. KHL is a different beast, traditionally. If you get too used to KHL and lose the age in which you can be developed, then you are bound to fail in NHL. Remember this comment.
One other thing relating to a previous video. I hope the team sticks up for Nico this year. I'm tired of other teams taking liberties with our captain.
Idea for museum Monday have people email you parts of there collection like I could send in pictures of my devils card collection maybe people have awesome jersey collections and more and you could choose 1 or 2 things to be an a video after a piece of your collection.
@cmz5847 The team is set up to compete well beyond a 2 year window. I believe we will have a capable goalie to take the net when Markstrom is gone (he very well could stay here for an additional year or 2 beyond the 2 years left on his current deal)
@@runninwiththedevils Markstrom turns 35 in Jan., Tatar 33 in Dec., Dillon 34 in November, Noesen 31, pesce turns 30 in Nov. coming off an injury and the worst season of his career. You guys have a 2-3 year window, if that

Mercer will sign. He's an RFA, so he's not going anywhere. I am sure the holdup is over term. I am speculating, but I think that he would want a 1 - or 2-year bridge deal as where Fitz wants to lock him up for 4 or more years.

About players represent the country like Slovakia, although I would much more prefer to have healthy Nemec then representing my country I would like to point that it is very important for our country hockey to be competitive because majority of young Slovakian players first introduction to hockey as a kids it's Slovakia playing world championship or Olympics, for those two events our whole nation is about hockey and everyone is watching and everyone talks about hockey. I can understand why people from USA or Canada might see this type of tournaments as pointless but without this pivotal hockey inspiration we would miss out on plenty of you😮ng talent in Slovakia.
