    The British love their plaster walls. In the US, it is rare people plaster walls anymore

      Too many houses built from cardboard now days, I would have made a joke about how badly built American houses are but tbh we aren't far behind these days with how cheap they make them

    Darren: that plaster looks just like chocolate pudding when you are mixing it! -( you don't have to tell anybody I said that, you know. You never know what some people will take into their heads to do). That add a great look to the room. Thank you for today's video.

    Thanks for the vid! I am building a media wall and understanding how the plastering happens has helped me think about how I build it. Fancy a trip to Gloucestershire to plaster another one in January?! 😀

    Hi mate great job .... can I ask how you finish the sides and where the boards meet thd ceiling.... do you just caulk all the way around? .... I've seen some scrim all away around plaster the ceiling 100mm and sides about 100mm and feather it out.... but is that necessary? Thanks in advance mate 👍

      Wood nails with flat heads big enough to overlap the holes in beading

    It looks like a fireplace. I don't like it. I think it could be more simple, not so deep (for flatscreens) More up to date with designs. I am from a country that is famous for designs.

    • @darrenthebuilder
      @darrenthebuilder  2 года назад +1

      Needs to be that deep to house the sky box etc also they want it to be the same depth as the shelves which will be added to the side later.

      @@darrenthebuilder Oh OK, it is from the customers idea :-) Sorry. I would make one in tree, not that deep, and so i might could change the wide of the tv, when i get a new one. Make one, so the tv is closed, but with a fan, to get cooling inside. :-) I'm from Denmark, we don't have these "big" machines to get the signals. Only the tv's.
