Thank you! I really am the person you are talking about in almost every way lol. All makes sence now if your punish games sucks no one will respect your neutral... why didn't I come up with this idk But thanks cody some good advice
I've played a number of top 100 players through the years and every time I do, they aren't playing neutral against me. Most of the time they are running at me without hesitation and it's because I didn't hit them hard enough to make them respect me. It's definitely a difficult pill to swallow, but it has to be done.
I mean based on the slippi stats I’ve seen from SCL 6 openings per kill is really good for a non-pro. The average I’ve seen at SCL is probably around 5-6
to use a specific example, if falco upthrows marth on fd while marth is at 60%, falco can beat most options marth can do straight down, so you just have to watch out for like nair fair and up b. sharking is where you bait out them using a move and not letting them land without getting hit, and keeping them above you.
As a marth how do I punish sheik?? I can always get at least 2-3 hits but if the sheik isn’t a complete idiot and doesn’t double jump super obvious then they can always get out. This isn’t as much of a problem vs most floaties cuz marth can out neutral them to a ridiculous degree
genuinely how does this only have 2k views this is one of the best melee videos ive ever seen
There is a lot too this video, but not everyone watches these types of videos..
