I would definitely like to do a front end swap on my 1986 F-150
Awesome job thanks !
Very nice. Perfect.
Could you use the factory CV sway bar? The electric rack takes up a bunch of room.
Great work. It all looks so nice. I am currently doing my 1979 swap as well and I as looking into the EPAS setup for steering since it is cheaper than adding power steering to a Coyote engine and also a much cleaner look. Did you use Performance Productions kit for this?
I used this one: andrewstuningandperformance.com/products/electric-steering-rack-conversion-kit-for-crown-vic-front-suspension-using-mustang-s550-steering-rack
I just now had time to watch the first 3 episodes and waiting for more . What install kit did you use ? How did you decide where to put the holes for the locator pins in the frame ? Was there a certain point you came from to find that location point . Several years ago i watched a few of these changes done but there were no kits to purchase back then so they were done in a lot of different ways . I like this kit it looks a lot cleaner that some of the others i followed .
Hey man, sorry for the delayed reply. I used the backyard customs kit. I ended up just going centered between the two existing holes in the frame or maybe slightly forward between the two. I haven't gotten the front end back on the truck yet so I don't know that it's necessarily the right move but it seems to be the most used method. Just make sure you double check measurements, make sure everything is square and you should be good to go.
Good afternoon I’m doing a project
Its a 68 f100
But I bought a 2014 mustang gt to do the swap
I have the front suspension from a crown Vic
But I’m trying to swap the most parts I can from the mustang including the electric power steering
Do you think the process
It’s similar to your video
Where did you get that different top mount for the frame??
What coilovers did you use?
What hub bearing is that? I didn’t see any wires?
Moog wheel bearings, the ABS wires just clip in so I disconnected them. Link here: www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1146565&cc=1432106&pt=1636&jsn=19
Is their a part 4 ? Anymore progress so far? This rig is lookin like it’s coming along NICE!
Thanks man! Coming soon. I took a little break and have been building a race car. Going back on this though in the next week or two.
Great video, truly professional work. Very clean. Wanna do CV on my 72 f100. Your video is definitely very educational and helpful thank you
