- A playthrough of the boss Galactus in the PC/Steam version of Capcom’s Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
A HUGE thanks to the user Demon Scorp for helping me with this. He’s a great guy, and he’s helped me before with a number of games in the past, most notably Tekken 7, but he recently informed me that there was a way to make Galactus work in UMVC3’s arcade mode, and even provided the files to help me do so, so give him a thanks if you see him in the comments. Once the files are in place, Galactus can be used with arcade mode with little problem, although the boss fight against Galactus himself…well, it’s not a pretty sight. Not as bad as the Unknown mirror match in Tekken Tag 1, but still pretty bad.
Not much else to really say about Galactus here; the only noteworthy thing I show here is that some of his attacks can be cancelled into each other, and really easily too, which only adds to how incredibly cheap he is.
Also, users UltraZeroX7 and The Commentator, who are long time commenters by this point and who both often provide some really interesting insight into the titles I’m covering, made some really interesting comments in the last video (1055) that I’d recommend checking out. Possibly the most interesting thing that UltraZero pointed out was that Galactus Mode in UMvC3 was actually inspired by a rom hack of X-Men vs. Street Fighter where Apocalypse was playable. Amazing to see something like that come full circle.
And that’s about it, really. I’m not sure if a playthrough of this is even really worthwhile, what with Galactus already being playable in the game anyway, but for a giant boss he’s pretty fun to play as so I can’t knock it. At this point in the archive, just being able to go to town with a boss again reminds me of the fun I had with the earliest vids in this series.
Demon Scorp also gave the codes necessary to play as the unplayable gold herald variants of the characters you fight against in Heralds mode. I’m not really a costumes guy, so I don’t plan to cover them here, but I might eventually do a vid on them on my Requests channel.
Next up, it’s time to actually get onto MvC Infinite.
8:22 My God! Galactus Saved the Earth!
8:35 Damn! He Betrayed the Planet Earth xD
*PLOT TWIST:* That was just a replica he made.
"Trust no-one, not even yourself"
Galactus can say the names of everyone when tagging out... I'm surprised nobody has done a video of him saying everyone's name or those same people teams
That would be an awesome video
The funniest about that is with Deadpool "ME!!!"
@@PikangsFutaba
It's sad they scrapped that, I bet Dante says something humorous too. This has to be a reference to the same character team in MVC2
I swear someone made a showcase video on that, idk if it still is on here or if it's removed
SNAP BACK!!!
Galactus VS Galactus
Me: ..................
Could have been worse.
It could have been Tekken Tag 1 Unknown.
Congratulations. You have doomed your world.
Given that I always seem to play as the bad guys, I'm pretty sure I've singlehandedly destroyed the world many times over by this point.
Eyy, thanks for the shout-out in the description! Means a lot as always.
I know some have pointed it already in the previous video's comment section, but I find it crazy to think that Galactus has voice clips for assists and tagging in/out. Makes me wonder if there was meant to be more to Galactus Mode (like choosing Herald versions of the playable cast and freely do such actions) or that he was going to have a playable human-sized variant (it's been stated that Galactus is able to change his size at will).
Also, this is actually my first glimpse on how a Galactus mirror match would go, and damn, some MUGEN levels of weirdness here...
Turns the MUGEN weirdness was inside the games all along and all MUGEN did was allow us to pull it to the forefront.
When 2 galactus is blocking the screen be like😂😂😂
"Next up, it’s time to actually get onto MvC Infinite." oh boy, this is gonna be something...
In all fairness Ultron Sigma is one of the better looking characters in that game and the other videos of people playing as him are just abusing the teleport counter, hopefully we Admirals visit we will gain better insight
Ultron-Sigma I have basically no problem with; he's actually a really good boss. Ultron-Omega on the other hand...
I guess there is a Galactus from an alternate universe
I actually once played the game like this and I just used that stupid near full-screen move to the AI Galactus and I just murdered him instantly, is so stupidly fun (of course, for online play or competitive overall, this is a no-go).
No problem, man. And thanks for your videos.
Good luck with other games in future too.
Thanks man!
Dose the one hit kill move one hit kill galactus?
Not from what I recall, no.
@@AdmiralMcFish I think at best it does 50% health damage to him but... hard to say about the damage, but one thing for sure, that instant-kill move can't defeat Galactus (is better the stupid near full-screen laser move for that).
In this video Galactus defeat the other Galactus
Behold The Power Cosmic itself
Been looking for a way to play as him on PC, how do you do it? What are the files needed?
I actually made a tutorial on how to do it:
ruclips.net/video/Tm35-oxJDFY/видео.html
You can also unlock Galactus Mode where you can play as him, and that can be done by earning 30000 license points, or whatever they're called in game.
@@AdmiralMcFish Yeah, get the achievement with Vergi's Icon (30,000) Player Points or whatever is named and you get Galactus Mode (on Ps3 and Xbox 360 existed the alternative to have a save data from MVC3: Fate of Two Worlds to get instant access to the mode).
2:11 2:13 1:32 1:34 2:28
I see two Galactus what the hell is going on in this video
There's not really a reason fot this other than galactus clipping through the stages and galactus vs galactus
Pretty much. Has twice the views of the other video though, so clearly people are more interested in general.

Hi there, if you don't mind answering is there a specific reason you removed your Tekken tutorial?
Thanks
It was just a really shitty tutorial, and I wasn't very proud of it. I got a lot of flack for it too, which was partially deserved, partially not, but the main problem is that the method I used there simply doesn't work anymore and so the tutorial is redundant anyhow. That's the future of boss-hacking though unfortunately; devs now mess with their code a lot, meaning that something that works one day won't work the next.
Did you get linked to it from somewhere? Did you want me to remake it? I surprised anyone cared enough to see that it was gone.
AdmiralMcFish - Bosses and Hidden Characters I would love to see a remake, especially since you said the old method no longer works and I noticed that part 12 was just gone,
Thanks!!
I don't actually know the method to do it currently; I was just curious as to why you brought it up in the first place. Truth is, a lot of the really recent fighting games have me stumped when it comes to boss-hacking; their data isn't hackable in the way that games used to be, and some (such as Street Fighter V) even have anti-hacking measures such as closing themselves if they detect cheatengine running. Boss-hacking has pretty much had its day, as far as I see it.
