It's such a shame that classic Australian series like Certain Women and Bellbird weren't preserved. The ABC show Something in the Air was like a throwback to the old shows and I loved it but sadly it's gone now too.
That’s Carmen Duncan starting at 5:05. She memorably replaced Beverlee McKinsey as Iris Wheeler on the American NBC soap Another World. Carmen was a sweet lady.
@@skipeastport5529 was done in Sydney and they wiped over all of the.tapes - as othershave said - only odd bits seem to appear if someone had taped it and put here - such a shame- it was ABC T.V. Drama dept in Sydney in the 70s :)
I remember the actors.. we watched most of the series, but can't remember much, busy with dinner and the kids! Was mentioned in Richard Glovers new book about an avocado!
We used to get this on Thames TV in the mid-70s, my first taste of Aussie drama. So they wiped most of these episodes then? Typical of TV companies, no sense of heritage and no foresight.

I was then Production Secretary for the whole series of this show - in the 70;s
I’d love to see the saved episodes of this series on DVD! Was it taped in Melbourne or Sydney?

My favourite ABC tv series of the 1970's...tragically destroyed
I really liked the show as well.
The ABC has about 50 episodes (out of 166 made).
@@TheZodiacz Thank you for that information. I wish the ABC would show these remaining episodes!
The actor at the start is Ivar Kants. And the familiar face at 2:21 is Ron Graham, whose son Marcus is also a famous actor.

So there are no more eps of this to see? So sad that these classics were wiped.
Some episodes are held in the NFSA and likely the NAA but sadly, nobody can purchase them. Not all episodes still exist, but some do.
Is that Richard Morecroft? And who's the familiar face at 2:21?
That's Ron Graham. His son Marcus is also an actor, he starred in E Street.

@@peecee1384 didn't know that.
@@trevoryoung5611 I looked him up on Wikipedia... thanks for putting a name to the face.
Fuck when I was a kid I thought this was great acting. It's terrible. Way off authentic.
