This is a drum cover of "Waiting For The Worms" from the 1979 album "The Wall" by Pink Floyd.
Filmed and edited by me using Adobe Premiere, audio edited on Cubase 7 by me.
Using my Tama Superstar Hyperdrive kit, I love it.
I am self taught!

A lot of people can't get their head around The Wall, it took me some time but I love every part of it now :-) Especially this one!

The wall album still in my opinion is the best album pink Floyd ever produced..the movie staring Bob geldof was absolutely amazing too and still in 2022 is brilliant as for your drumming covers of the wall is absolutely fantastically exacuted not one beat did you miss just magical and perfect well done Ewan you deserve a billion likes from all us pink Floyd fan's and beyond for real drummer's to appreciate the magic of snares Tom Tom's high hats symbols base drum to be beating in perfection well done and thank you for sharing 🥁🤟🥁👌🥁✌️🥁👍🥁🙏

Great cover Ewan, as usual. You're already accustomed us to expect only the best from you. Maybe that's because of the loyal Floyd fans, or maybe you're stuck with us, and we always want more from Pink Floyd.
I always loved Nick Mason's playing the drums, but never realize how good he is until you came along and covered their songs. I just love how you play it.
There were two things that I noticed in your video. At 2:09 and again at 2:34 you were almost about to hit a "Ride" Cymbal. Aren't you?
Thank you very much Kristijan! I love the floyd community we have going here :-) And I had done a similarly weird arm movement at those two points in previous takes, I was just feeling the beat of the music at the point where everything quietens down in the song :-)

Congratulations! Why at 1.20 the sound of the drum only video is so different? In the original song there is a sort of resonance that extend the sound of the tom... Listen carefully...
It will be great if you make a cover of "Yet another movie". I really love this song! But as far as I know, it is at least for two drummers. I hope I am wrong)

+Don Joe Firstly, thank you very much for the comment Don! And to be honest I listen to these songs A LOT so when it comes to playing them I don't need to practice a lot. I played this one through about 7 times before I was happy with the take and I hadn't played it before. Some songs are trickier but in general if I listen to the song as much as I listen to Pink Floyd then it comes naturally. And to answer your other question, I don't use drumless tracks I just play along to the original and mix my drums over it :-)

+Don Joe It's just a case of multi-track recording all of my drums along with the original and mixing the levels and adding post effects until it sounds good :-)

+Don Joe Awesome! Just watch RUclips tutorials on things like microphone placement, multi-track, recording and mixing. Also keep it simple when editing video, people can get carried away with multiple camera angles and fancy edits.
Did your father teach you or are you completely self taught? How long did it take?
I am completely self taught! I have been playing for nearly 13 years :-)
