Second best, first if they'd fix that reload. When I'm running K bullets I like being able to fire of follow-up shots _before_ they can finish repairing, not after.
catboy357 The reload is not broken. Lebel used a quite unique loading system. After loading the magazine, you need to cycle the bolt twice to chamber a round.
The double cycle is only needed if you _don't_ put one in the chamber as well, what's broken is that you load an extra round into the chamber (or tube, depending on perspective) The basic animation for adding rounds to the tube repeats for every missing round, then it adds another round to the chamber during the reload end animation, a round which is never accounted for (meaning a full 8 round reload actually has you loading 9 rounds and a single shot, 3). Additionally, as the reload starts, it has you load yet another round if you still had ammo left (an actual part of the design, but it ruins the function of K bullets as it plays even if the magazine is empty)

I could play with the Lawrence every minute of every match and be perfectly satisfied. perfect sights, sweet spot and time-to-kill ratio. so glad they haven't significantly nerfed it or anything since launch.
I feel like the only person in the game who loves the Lebel infantry. Awesome iron sights (one of the non-quantifiable qualities of an infantry rifle), fast rate of fire second only to the M95, great sweet spot, and 8 rounds. The annoying reload animation can be cancelled by quickly switching to your pistol and back or with a melee swing. You get good at it with practice.
arisaka and lebel are better at least I like them both better for different reasons. Lebel has better sights and shoots faster, the arisaka is basically a complete upgrade aside from having 5 instead of 10 bullets in the mag.
Hunter Stanek best without a doubt. I've been a long time SMLE user since release. I haven't gone back to it since the Arisaka came out. My KPM went up 0.3 since switching to the Arisaka.

Azdie I know, I know that those guns are techinically carbines, but the game lists them as Smg's, so they are still suitable. But when it comes to TRADITIONAL smgs, then it is the Mp18 or Automatico
There are better ways to use the Lee Enfield reload system to your advantage - once you have 5 or less shots left and you're out of combat just hit reload and cancel instantly to just reload one clip, then you've got between 6 and 10 shots left, which is more than enough and you don't have to worry about reloading when you're in danger. It basically means you get to choose when you reload without having to reload individual rounds, unlike most other rifles. It may not sound that useful a tip but it really is.
Excellent capacity, good iron sights, decent rate of fire and effective between 50 - 87,5 meters, but the reload is terrible, the K-Bullet animations are terrible and the muzzle velocity is apparently worse than average.
Hi, you didn't mention one of gewers biggest strength: it will at any distance ( to the chest) do a damage that guarantee you an assist that counts as kill. Keep doing a great job, i love your videos.

I just love the Arisaka. Good rate of fire, and short range sweet spot so you can be aggressive. Best assault smg? Automatico M1918. I mean really what else.
Yep my findings not too different than yours...SMLE is a great infantry rifle. Gewerh 95 is also good. I've been experimenting and I like the arisaka and nagant quite well as the sights are nice. The Lebel however has a very fine sight and I like it quite well as an infantry gun. The SMLE is nice but sometimes the sight confuses me in the heat of battle and I actually aim with the side post by mistake and miss. The Lebels sight is open and comes to a crisp needle point. Very nice

Guys I love play with gew98 infantry it's very fun to play. Suffer from low damages on close combat but I can kill all others sniper on distance becose thay don't expect me to have ge98 with iron scope

I play Frontlines and every weapon has a strength and weakness depending on the plan of attack and defense and map and so many more small things that I can’t list them all. I love support so this may sound bias but imo the best gun in the game is the Parabellum low weight and it’s not even close. Close proximity pray and spray. Midrange its laser beams and lights out. Long range I spray so much lead its suppresses the living shiite out of everyone. Yea I enjoy the Arisaka. And Automatico and Hellriegl. I love the Selbstadler marksman. Cool guns but not nearly as satisfying as spraying into piles of people with overwhelming Parabellum Justice!! LOL
The best infantry rifle is the vitali..just because it looks and sounds horrible doesn't mean do discredit it's very practical sweetspot range and 4-round-magazine

The double barrel is freaking amazing... in fact, it has the same damage model as the model 10-A, but with less rounds and faster rate of fire... plus people won't hate as much when you kill them with the double barrel...
If I'm gonna be honest, the Parabellum isn't that great of a Lmg.It kills incredibly quickly, but with the Parabellum's poor spread and recoil values, you can't exactly put this power to good use. One solution is to use the bipod, but you will make yourself a sniper's target and even then the recoil is still inconsistent. And if I'm gonna go up close and personal, why not use the BAR or Chauchat? They have better handling and lower recoil at the cost of smaller capacity. But they still kill quickly in close-quarters. There are also other, minor nitpicks: Slow reload, quick overheat, ecceterra.
It has one thing that makes the G98 infantry suprisingly viable: The Quick Muzzle velocity. Due to the G98's quick velocity, the Infantry version is easier to use than other infantry rifles, in my eyes at least. With this quick velocity, you don't need to lead targets very much.
Loving the new Arisaka rifle. Very similiar to the SMLE i feel (not sure about stats wise) and very powerfull in a close to mid range fights. And i think it looks very good with the legendary skin.
It really all depends what map you're playing on, what class and even the people you're playing with on your team. Also what the apposite team is using in terms of class and weapons themselves. Oh and the game mode your playing. So taking all these factors into consideration, then and only then can you begin to decide what weapon truly is the best for that given situation.
M95 was my favourite for a long time (100 ss) with MH a close second. I have to say the new Type 38 Arisaka is my new fave - it's pretty much almost a direct upgrade to the M95 and it has the best iron sights in the game IMO.
Skill and martini-henry do not correlate! The single load encourages defensive peeking with strong aim assist takes no effort to hit the body. True skill of head shots are nonexistent.
Speaking as a console player... have you played scout in the last few months? AA is non existent now. Every shot now is skill or just as much skill as an assault or support just rushing and spray shooting every where.. I started playing scout a few months ago to understand all the complaining about AA and I have tried multiple times to AA with martini Henry and it doesn't work. I understand this comment it if were from 2016 but not 5 days ago.

Great choices westie.😊 I want to vote for the Ribroyells as #1 smg. Great gun for up close and long range. And the damage output is great as well. Pretty well balanced.
My top 3 rifles 3). Lebel Infantry, good damage, nice sweetspot, beautiful inron-sights well rounded overall. 2). SMLE MKIII enough said 1). Carcano, this thing is just so incredibly smooth to use, has 6 rounds over standard 5, may not 1 hit kill to body but the smoothness and speed allow for a fast 2nd killing shot.

Quick tip when reloading the SMLE with less than 5 rounds. Just press fire after the reload started and you will only load a stripper clip and no individual rounds.
ĐU RO I wanted to say the same. I am fucking in love with the Arisaka! It finally replaced the Martini Henry for me, as in I love both equally. I'm not a huge fan of the Gewehr M95 or the Carcano. I love the SMLE though.

The only rifle that I personally agree with on that list is the Steyer-Mannlicher Gewehr M95: Either the Carbine or Marksman version is my go-to scout rifle on congested maps like Shotgun, er, Argonne Forest, Amiens, Ft. Vaux or Prise de Tehrue, and for exactly the features you described (the ability to follow up shots while still looking through the scope, high rate of fire and max damage at closer ranges). My personal fav, though, is the Winchester 1895 Russian, sniper variant. Due to its bullets having high velocity, low bullet drop & long range sweet spot, I can pretty much own on any open map (like Monte Grappa or Galicia), even with my crappy PC & laggy internet. While I agree that the Martini-Henry is theoretically a good rifle for fast-paced infantry action, it's absolute crap for anyone who doesn't have access to 100Mbps (at minimum) internet or who cannot afford the latest PC with 6-core processor & the latest 16 GB video card (i.e. me), which is why I never use it. As for the SMLE, I find it to be mediocre at best, with its only undeniably good feature being the 10-round magazine, with everything else being completely average, at least with my usual play style.
I am not fine with that, at least for me. My favorite #1 Gun IS the martini-henry. How can you not love this gun over all others. It jost goes WOOOOOOM.... PLING. And here comes death :D #2 Should be the Arisaka, a really fun to use agressive ironsight rifle which always grants you really nice kills in close corners. so my number three would be the gewehr 98 here for just taking out all those long range idiots sniping cross maps being just one of em :D anyways good video keep up
Russian 1895 Trench is by far my favorite Scout weapon in the game. 2nd would be the Carcana tied with the M1903 experimental. Though, the Trench is just so fun to use. I don't play Assault so nothing there. Favorite Medic Gun is a tie between RSC Factory and Fedorav, depends if I wanna feel like I'm using skill or just going an easy route. Favorite Support weapon is the Perino... the one without the optic. Not much of a second place here.
Gewehr 95 takes the cake for me. No bullshit 100 dmg body shot kills. Snipers would already be ridiculously powerful with their 80~90dmg per shot. Fair gun. No sweetspot. Hoping the Ross Rifle comes into the game like this one.

I was going to argue about the SMLE, but after listening to the rationale I would actually agree. Full disclosure, the Gewehr M.95, Martini-Henry, and SMLE are my favourite Infantry rifle anyway (ordered from best to worst), but it also really comes down to personal preference. Still doesn't change my mind though: I much prefer the open sights and high rate of fire on the Gewehr vs the SMLE, and the high damage of the Martini vs the SMLE, hence why the SMLE is in 3rd place for me
3. Type 38 2. Lebel 1. Vitterli Though I like to run with the Gewehr 98 infantry at times cause you can’t beat that muzzle velocity. Gewehr 98 is certainly my favorite with sniper scope.
The Type 38 Arisaka is my favorite bolt action by far nowadays. Just surpassing the gewehr m.95. I don't know what the Battlefield community's obsession is with the SMLE. I know it has great stats but I can't stand the gun model nor the feel of it. Using it just feels wonky to me.

Wouldn't call them "better". Lebels iron sight is the best imo, but the sweet spot on the SMLE is just so easy that it makes it "better"

The reaaon the k bullet is slow is because it used a tube magazine with a push down breach block which was activated by action on the bolt

Yeah… the sights are the weakest part of the smle. I’m not the biggest fan of the Mosin in bf1 but the sights are damn good

Yea I enjoy the Arisaka. And Automatico and Hellriegl. I love the Selbstadler marksman. Cool guns but not nearly as satisfying as spraying into piles of people with overwhelming Parabellum Justice!! LOL
The best infantry rifle is the vitali..just because it looks and sounds horrible doesn't mean do discredit it's very practical sweetspot range and 4-round-magazine

The Lebel infantry is quite good as well and goes unnoticed quite a bit. Its my go to for infantry scout weapons.

The double barrel is freaking amazing... in fact, it has the same damage model as the model 10-A, but with less rounds and faster rate of fire... plus people won't hate as much when you kill them with the double barrel...
If I'm gonna be honest, the Parabellum isn't that great of a Lmg.It kills incredibly quickly, but with the Parabellum's poor spread and recoil values, you can't exactly put this power to good use. One solution is to use the bipod, but you will make yourself a sniper's target and even then the recoil is still inconsistent. And if I'm gonna go up close and personal, why not use the BAR or Chauchat? They have better handling and lower recoil at the cost of smaller capacity. But they still kill quickly in close-quarters. There are also other, minor nitpicks: Slow reload, quick overheat, ecceterra.
No Hellriegel is try hard.

It has one thing that makes the G98 infantry suprisingly viable: The Quick Muzzle velocity. Due to the G98's quick velocity, the Infantry version is easier to use than other infantry rifles, in my eyes at least. With this quick velocity, you don't need to lead targets very much.
Spetsnaz boris one of the least weapons used in the scout class..
Still it can be a great weapon if we use it well!

Loving the new Arisaka rifle. Very similiar to the SMLE i feel (not sure about stats wise) and very powerfull in a close to mid range fights. And i think it looks very good with the legendary skin.
It really all depends what map you're playing on, what class and even the people you're playing with on your team. Also what the apposite team is using in terms of class and weapons themselves. Oh and the game mode your playing. So taking all these factors into consideration, then and only then can you begin to decide what weapon truly is the best for that given situation.
M95 was my favourite for a long time (100 ss) with MH a close second. I have to say the new Type 38 Arisaka is my new fave - it's pretty much almost a direct upgrade to the M95 and it has the best iron sights in the game IMO.
Everybody knows that the Type 38 Arisaka rifle is the best because when you bayonet charge the enemy they can't damage you

Skill and martini-henry do not correlate! The single load encourages defensive peeking with strong aim assist takes no effort to hit the body. True skill of head shots are nonexistent.
Speaking as a console player... have you played scout in the last few months? AA is non existent now. Every shot now is skill or just as much skill as an assault or support just rushing and spray shooting every where.. I started playing scout a few months ago to understand all the complaining about AA and I have tried multiple times to AA with martini Henry and it doesn't work. I understand this comment it if were from 2016 but not 5 days ago.

Great choices westie.😊 I want to vote for the Ribroyells as #1 smg. Great gun for up close and long range. And the damage output is great as well. Pretty well balanced.

Quick tip when reloading the SMLE with less than 5 rounds. Just press fire after the reload started and you will only load a stripper clip and no individual rounds.

ĐU RO I wanted to say the same. I am fucking in love with the Arisaka! It finally replaced the Martini Henry for me, as in I love both equally. I'm not a huge fan of the Gewehr M95 or the Carcano. I love the SMLE though.

The only rifle that I personally agree with on that list is the Steyer-Mannlicher Gewehr M95: Either the Carbine or Marksman version is my go-to scout rifle on congested maps like Shotgun, er, Argonne Forest, Amiens, Ft. Vaux or Prise de Tehrue, and for exactly the features you described (the ability to follow up shots while still looking through the scope, high rate of fire and max damage at closer ranges). My personal fav, though, is the Winchester 1895 Russian, sniper variant. Due to its bullets having high velocity, low bullet drop & long range sweet spot, I can pretty much own on any open map (like Monte Grappa or Galicia), even with my crappy PC & laggy internet.
While I agree that the Martini-Henry is theoretically a good rifle for fast-paced infantry action, it's absolute crap for anyone who doesn't have access to 100Mbps (at minimum) internet or who cannot afford the latest PC with 6-core processor & the latest 16 GB video card (i.e. me), which is why I never use it. As for the SMLE, I find it to be mediocre at best, with its only undeniably good feature being the 10-round magazine, with everything else being completely average, at least with my usual play style.

I am not fine with that, at least for me. My favorite #1 Gun IS the martini-henry. How can you not love this gun over all others. It jost goes WOOOOOOM.... PLING. And here comes death :D #2 Should be the Arisaka, a really fun to use agressive ironsight rifle which always grants you really nice kills in close corners. so my number three would be the gewehr 98 here for just taking out all those long range idiots sniping cross maps being just one of em :D

Russian 1895 Trench is by far my favorite Scout weapon in the game. 2nd would be the Carcana tied with the M1903 experimental. Though, the Trench is just so fun to use.
I don't play Assault so nothing there.
Favorite Medic Gun is a tie between RSC Factory and Fedorav, depends if I wanna feel like I'm using skill or just going an easy route.
Favorite Support weapon is the Perino... the one without the optic. Not much of a second place here.
Vetterli-Vitali carbine and the Selbstadler m1916 Factory are the best two guns. Closely followed by the Farquhar-Hill Optical.

Gewehr 95 takes the cake for me. No bullshit 100 dmg body shot kills. Snipers would already be ridiculously powerful with their 80~90dmg per shot. Fair gun. No sweetspot. Hoping the Ross Rifle comes into the game like this one.

I was going to argue about the SMLE, but after listening to the rationale I would actually agree. Full disclosure, the Gewehr M.95, Martini-Henry, and SMLE are my favourite Infantry rifle anyway (ordered from best to worst), but it also really comes down to personal preference. Still doesn't change my mind though: I much prefer the open sights and high rate of fire on the Gewehr vs the SMLE, and the high damage of the Martini vs the SMLE, hence why the SMLE is in 3rd place for me

Though I like to run with the Gewehr 98 infantry at times cause you can’t beat that muzzle velocity. Gewehr 98 is certainly my favorite with sniper scope.
The Type 38 Arisaka is my favorite bolt action by far nowadays. Just surpassing the gewehr m.95. I don't know what the Battlefield community's obsession is with the SMLE. I know it has great stats but I can't stand the gun model nor the feel of it. Using it just feels wonky to me.
