Is this vid running on abit of a loop ? It is repeated in parts 😮I am 15 mins in and seen the same parts twice over 😮.looking at the stalls would have been interesting instead of just walking down the street dodging lamppost’s . Sorry for criticism , but there you go just my thoughts .

This is not the area I grew up in. It was a vibrant mix of people from all walks, no one stood out like a sore thumb. The factories & shops were mainly Jewish, that blended in well with everyone, creating jobs for locals. People kept their local areas clean along with the caretakers. Yes there's always been problems but it was a community people felt safe in. Everyone knew each other even if they didn't like each other. I can honestly say hand on heart that I'm glad I left Stepney when I did, because I was threatened with r*pe while walking my 3 very young children in mid 90's when things were taking a turn for the worse. I couldn't live in London now I don't recognise it as the area I grew up in. Even the famous petticoat Lane is no longer the vibrant market filled with locals, travellers from all over the world & even a Gospel choir who sang their hearts out on a Sunday. That place is dead now.

I grew up here in Stepney and i am BLACK. The east end has Always had a diverse mix. In the 70's there was a major influx of immigrants and alot of white east end moved out 80's and 90's due to 1, they wanted to "better" their family lives and yes due to immigration. They wasn't forced out, they could have stayed.
