Love your detailed and honest reviews. I’ve had my 24 pro for 2 months now and love the truck and agree with all your comments. Too many haters complaining about features that they’ve likely never experienced!
Gimmick or not, it should be an option. If it were an option I’d bet more people would opt for backseat functionality over a little bit of seat stabilization
Yep I also noticed the difference on the seats. Did the same thing, started with on road mode on a trail in Moab going pretty fast. Stopped and adjusted them to offroad mode and immediately noticed it was a softer ride for me. I still don't know that I would pick them over more space (and perhaps other features we missed out on from the TrailHunter) but I was happy to see they weren't a complete gimmick. Also, I've gotten some condensation in the seat gauges (it looks like yours), but when I release the air and pump some in again it goes away. That being said you mentioned yours is a sticky residue so maybe to get that fixed at the dealer. Which suspension settings did you enjoy the most for the off roading? 1/2/3?? Nice truck!
Thanks for the comment! My suspension setting depends on the terrain and how I have the truck setup. Last week in Moab with the trailer I was on 2 the whole time. When I’m crawling in the Rockies going slow and no trailer, I use setting 1. Then when absolutely mobbing on dirt roads I’ll go to 3.
Someone should put spray on bedliner on the roof and there should be little tie downs in order to cut down on wind resistance from those aftermarket roof baskets.
I think owners need to keep in mind what their use case is! family=No, put a dog in the back, well.ok! when will the aftermarket put out a remote, connected to onboard air, driver adaptive use? so when you're driving, you can change on the fly? there's an idea !
Fan since the Gucci Glock, love your stuff 🤘 I’m no YT star, but I would recommend internally recording with your 32bit float DJI mics, and sync in post; your audio will be much better (I film weddings, and have learned the hard way myself) 😉 You’re my favorite YT’er btw, even though I can’t afford all your toys 😅
I find my iso driver side seat clunks in certain situations up towards the middle of my back. Have you noticed that in yours? It happens some times when there is a change in momentum.
Yours must be ok then. I’m sure you would have noticed. Spoke to dealer about it and they just scratched their heads and said….we really don’t know much about these seats. Lame. I may pursue it again.
I have the same issue on my 2024 TRD Pro with the foggy gauges. 3 of the 4 are blurry. Took it in to Toyota today and they ordered new glass for them. They said it was like a coating on them that probably happened during manufacturing.
I have software issues on top of the gauge thing (screen went blank, my settings change, rear seat alert went off a couple times for no reason) but they fix that unless they see it happening so they couldn’t help me there. Oh well at least something is getting fixed
As a 2021 Tacoma Pro owner... this design sucks, plain and simple. With so much bolstering on the sides, why didn't they simply move the struts into the plastic on the outside, at least then the passengers would have a space for their knees. These seats are gimmicks, otherwise they wouldn't of painted them red and put shinny gauges at the top. But as always, great review.
I don't understand why they offer those seats with a quad cab. That should be offered in single cab only. There is hardly any room in the back. The Tundra quad cab is more fit for seats like that. The last generation quad cab was the largest I'd ever seen. I took an Uber in one and immediately was shocked at how much room I had.
Instead of putting all that work into those seats they should address all the issues with the engine. A lot of issues with the new Gen Tacomas and Tundras.
@@kentwood2914 lol calm down pavement princess. What I actually was referring to was a king cab in a Tundra. From your clear anger issues you don't need a quad cab. Cause you're clearly alone anyway
Im 6 ft 5 and have a 2022 trd off road. I have more than enough room. The 2024 is larger and has more room for the driver than my 2022. There's no way you dont fit comfortably unless you're 400 lbs or more.
The 2024 Tacoma are a major disappointment. Prices are $16k more than the 2023 trd pro models and the back seats are worse. No more storage space, smaller engine and downgrade, more electronics to break. No thanks
When you experience one for any amount of time longer than looking on a dealers lot, you will quickly realize it is better than the 3rd gen in almost every way.
Toyota engineers appeared to put too much R&D in the seats instead of improving on the engine performance and addressing all the issues that the 2024’s are having.
Notified Toyota dealer and when they have the part available, they will replace it. Because it’s new, the lens itself cannot be ordered - is what the dealership told me.
Toyota is ruining their trucks. Plain and simple. Sh** build quality and insane prices. But it’s ok, there’s those dummies out there who will pay $68k for a 4 banger mid size truck!

@Jomonji unfortunately Toyotas options are kinda wack. If you don’t want these seats next best option would be a trail hunter or hybrid off-road.
Great video! I love my Ice cap TRD Pro.
Man I appreciate your videos. Real honest reviews with a person who owns and uses the truck.
Thanks Gabe! 🙏🏼

Awesome content. The seats are sweet.
These look like they would be in the proto type, the fact that Toyota decided put them on production trucks is insane.

I've had my truck for about 13 months and have 4135 miles. I need to get out more. 😂😂😂😂😂
Hey @talonsei been a fan since pandemic 😊
Glad you’re here! 🤘🏼
A great review!!
Thanks for the info. 👍🔥
I have had my BMW seats messed up by short service drivers, thankfully I had memory seats
First the wipers and now no butt and lower back air…Yep return it. Plus a Grant cameo automatic fire video lol
The cameo that Patreon needed 🫡🤣
The orange door handles make me hot in my pants
Thanks for noticing me booboo 😘

Can you show how you set up your truck boxes and daily truck EDC
I showed my box setup in the last video I posted 👍🏼

I haven’t noticed that, I’ll keep an ear out for it next time I’m out tho.

I have the same issue with mine. Good to know. I’ll wait until first service and report it then. No other issues.

So in other words, you have never actually experienced these yourself. Got it.
@@JohnnyWhytetrash Actually I have... so what's your point?

Well the TRD Pro only comes in quad cab, so there’s no option to put them in anything other than a quad cab.

@@event8521How could they know to divert resources from seat design into engine issues that hadn’t yet surfaced?

Nice review
The mic you're using is legit
Did you sell your tundra?
Nope just posted some videos with it recently

The Mic under shirt is noticeable in terms of audio.
If its not much a hassle could you put it over shirt pls
A lot of issues with the new Gen Tacomas and Tundras.
6’4 with a 7 year old and wife. This truck looks cool but is made for smaller folks. Sad.. lol. I want it but can’t fit

It’s 2024, I can’t believe we’re paying so much for gimmicks like cheap Bluetooth speakers that pop out of the dash or shocks in the seats

They are breaking the shock mounts as well as automatic and manual transmissions. Right now, these trucks are TuRDs@@TalonSei

Get a RR
makes more sense in extra cab or actual 2 seater
Video might be deceiving but it almost feels like a 2 seat truck unless you have really short friends
I’m in the truck solo 95% of the time so it works great for me and the gear I bring.
