This whole Madonna vs Gaga thing is just crap. First it was Madonna vs Lauper back in the 80's, then it was Madonna vs Cher in the 90's and now it's this... People need to appreciate each singer for the individuals they are and stop comparing one to the other, they're all highly successful in their own right so why not just just enjoy them for who they are?
Let’s not forget that Mariah and Whitney were a bit shady towards Madonna in the 90s. Oh plus there was Madonna vs Kylie Minogue. I totally agree artists should be appreciated as independent individuals. However all these women even Kylie Minogue who is underrated are vocally better than Madonna. The thing is Madonna keeps talking about equality and so on but she always brought a lot of artists down by saying they copy her and so on. She hated being compared to gaga when gaga is doing absolutely amazing… it’s really humbling and rather humiliating cause at that time madge isn’t nowhere near the success and fame that gaga was having in 2009-2012 despite madge’s amazing career, this is exactly why madge was being so bitter and mean to gaga.

She spent years doing multiple jobs (waitress, stripper) and going everywhere she could to be kown, just like Madonna did. But Madonna never denied paying homage to icons like Marilyn Monroe or Marlene Dietrich, she made it very clear she was performing an imitation and that they inspired her. Gaga on the other hand has been a complete idiot about it, and denied any homage or influence when it’s very clear that there is.

She claims to be all about the LGBT community and how she loves them, but really doesn't do much for them. Where was she when the Orlando Club shooting occurred? Multiple stops on her Blond Ambition, Who’s That Girl and Girlie Show world tours donated all ticket proceeds to AIDS charities, she made a documentary about her life on tour, which featured her dancers as one of the first positive representations of gay people in America. She changed the way the American people saw the LGBT community, and never forced herself on us like Gaga did. Gaga’s tacky Born This Way song was a way to get money of the LGBT community, pretending to be part of a community when in reality she’s a rich white girl who’s never faced a moment of hardship in her life. Madonna earned her place as a revered gay icon in our community by being a voice for the community when we had none. These days, Gaga’s charity only gives miniscule amounts of it’s donations back to the community and claims the rest goes to “legal” expenses. It’s going to line Gaga’s already full pockets of the money her daddy always had. It’s all rather transparent.

I didn't express an opinion, I limited myself to itemize a series of facts about Madonna. All of Madonna's achievements, artistry, influential style, craft and her flawless music catalog are tangible facts. You don't know anything about the masses or professionals and you certainly can't speak for them. The masses have actually forgotten Lady Gaga, her first album was somehow her only decent and quite good selling work, after that, her career went down hill both in terms of quality and success. How many years have passed since her debut? 10 years! Look at her, she's a flopped nobody who still releases the same recycled mediocre music + repetitive appalling lyrics. Ten years into her career and Madonna re-invented herself and released one of her longest running chart singles ever. You shouldn't bring up "awards" to this debate as though it were a solid argument, awards mean nothing in reality, nowadays more than ever. Take for example the Grammys, Beyoncé has more Grammys than Madonna, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey combined, is it sufficient to say that Beyoncé is better than them? Nope. Rihanna has more Grammys than Lady Gaga, I guess she's better than your fave according to your opinion.

You can love or hate Madonna, but you can never change her influence in the music business and especially the influence for other female musicians. She paved the way for so many Artists. People nowadays have no clue what they are talking about. At 33yo (Lady Gaga’s current age) Madonna was at the absolutely peak of her career with the Blond Ambition Tour. At 40yo Madonna had another peak with the Music and Ray Of Light albuns. At 50yo she was selling out stadiuns with the Sticky & Sweet Tour. At 60yo she still making pop records and selling out tours. The brilliance of Madonna’s career cannot be matched by anyone.
