- Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by New York Post and Sun columnist Douglas Murray and LGBT comedian James Barr to discuss Sam Smith's recent tour and whether their racy onstage antics are 'artistic genius' or just plain vulgar.
Douglas points out that popstars such as Madonna have been controversial on stage for years to try and maintain publicity through shocking audiences. However he thinks the difference is that Sam Smith keeps changing their 'alleged pronouns' every year.
Piers agrees with Douglas that Sam looks ridiculous in their 'vulgar' outfit choices and questions why people are upset at those ridiculing Sam when they look 'ridiculous'. James snaps back stating that Piers cannot keep judging people on how they look and Piers claims he can when they perform on stage to millions across the world and therefore are subject to judgement.

There are many people of a certain age or generation with who I share a very like opinion that I would never disparage anyone who is part of the LGBT banner. But never in my lifetime or theirs will they accept the use of or being called Queer! I totally get the comment "Queer as Folk" and the like because many people grew up to understand this was generally not used in intentionally abusive or disparaging terms. When the Q was added to the LGBTQ it was many peoples understanding it "Questioning". In the 70's Gay became more acceptable, in 1990's the initialism LGBT acceptably used as a non disparaging one umbrella covers all. Then a whole generation decided to "Own Queer" well! all those in this generation are alone and created a huge divide in their community offending their elders who fought for the rights and freedoms they enjoy today, consequently very few who remember the hateful rhetoric choose to be of similar mindset least of all identified by it due to the abuse they suffered prior to the less offensive LGBT initialism.
Douglas is the perfect example of how your sexuality shouldn't be your identity and purpose. You can still be gay and lesbian without seeking for attention.
