22:24 flecktarn was chosen as the new camo in 1976, but due to politcal reasons it wasn't issued intill 1990. since this is an ulternate universe its entirely feasable the german army desides to adopt it anyway. (although i don't think you even need this reason if you like the look. luckily this makes it easier to justifie)
Variable swept wings in their extended position aren't specifically to go slower, the aircraft can do that regardless. It's actually to generate more lift prior to reaching extreme speeds or altitude (at which point more wing surface tends to add more drag than its worth). This is why the A-10 doesn't have variable swept or fixed swept wings, because it doesn't need them. It never goes fast enough for the wings to generate too much drag. But if you're doing CAS, those nice big spread wings can give you a few more seconds to aim and set up your attack. Great for multi-role.
Stug is Infantry support vehicle, this is a tank destroyer, may look like a stg 3 due to number of bogies / wheels but looks alot like a Jadgpanzer IV or L/70
I haven't begun with Team Yankee yet but the new West Germans have me excited to start. I love the Leopards and the Marder 2. The only thing that's putting me off are the aircraft. They're not necessarily bad in-game per se, but the Tornado is "meh" and the PAH looks like a Loach with rockets. I'll probably start with the Soviet box because of all the USSR tanks, the T-80 looks the best, plus the Hind has been a favorite since Red Dawn and the Frogfoot is basically a bootleg A-10. I haven't been able to find a good unboxing of that set, did you gents ever do one?
There's a couple of facets to the answer. #1 it wouldn't be unfair to say that for playability sake IMO the rules set tends to highlight tanks over infantry - however Infantry are certainly in the rules. #2 in my part of the country Infantry models are in short supply, supply chain disruptions #3 an infantry component to your command is probably important in a number of ways
Panzeraufklarungskompanie - Armoured recce company. German recce formations used to include MBTs.

All the BF starter boxes are great value and have playable forces. It is just a shame none add an infantry platoon into the force.
Infantry is mildly more complex than armor so it makes sense that a start force doesn't have em tbh
Tanks cost more $$$ than infantry. I'd much rather have a value box full of tanks and save some money!

Shorter one L44 120mm
Longer one L55 120mm
Hell yea I'm building the A6 configuration
With a bit of kit bashing you could make a 2A6M CAN or 2A7+
I wish they had extra parts to make the Strv122
thanks for the fun videos! I just started with WW2 tabletop. Slowly building my army.
When it comes to painting can you assemble the whole thing or do people leave the tracks off and paint separately?
Assemble the whole thing.
My favourite comedy duo I love these guys videos
Cat calling the kettle black with those American tank design criticisms.

Greetings from Berlin Germany 🇩🇪
Tach och!
The PAH fired HOT ATGMs.
What’s wrong with the plastic T72. Seems ok to me.
HEY HEY ...GREAT JOB BUDDYS LOV TO PAINT N HEAR THE NEWS , What would we do without....Thanks
Love the video .So much going on .
I think that he is hating on a combination of the Sherman and the Stuart.
And German Rules and CArds ?
My only gripe about the West German releases is that the Wiesels (not featured in this video) are not plastic. :(
I agree with you on this
That's disappointing, I was looking forward to doing some but there are two things I hate - metal, and resin.
So this is a brand new game then? It looks great I want to buy a starter pack.
Panzer Aufklärungskompanie is a Tank Recon Platoon.
not fully correct, its a Heavy Armored Recon Company, the normal Armored Recon Company consists not of MBT but Armored Cars like the Luchs.
@@zhufortheimpaler4041 I just went with the Translation
@@TenkaiHimura kompanie doesn't mean platoon though, it means company (zug is used for platoon)
@@matthiuskoenig3378 ah, gosh, you're right.
I love how Germany considers Leopard 2A5's to be "recon". Kind of like the Steiner Scout Lance of 4 Atlases.
does this game not really use infantry?

I'm waiting for a plain NATO so I can do a Dutch force ...
RUclips unsubscribing me from stuff again. Also I wish team yanky had infantry to go with it. Modern day ones
just say Armored Recon Company it's easier lol!
We all mlssed these ....
Abrams is poo compared with Leopard, the Australian army should have got Leopard 2 over Abrams
