Good footage, appreciate it.
My dad, British Army, ex Malaya 1950-53 and 1958-60,. One day one of my schoolmates brought a tube of condensed milk in a tube to school. they used to give these to the troops in the jungle. I had never seen condensed milk in a tube before. They also gave them a small fold up light metal heating stove. You put a small square of parrafin, like a firelighter on the tin 'cooker' and it burnt long enough to boil a kettle. Memorable days, all paid for by the British government. It was like being on permanent holiday with a bit of school thrown in.
was it sweetened condensed milk?
As a malaysian. A million thanks🙏. Forever indebted

No wonder the British Protect the Chinese,Most of Their Workers at that time Was Chinese, who support what British doing in Malaya, while the Natives Malay are Fighting Against this Colonialism 1:02
Wrong facts bro. Most of the factory workers were chinese because they lived in the cities and factories were located there. So naturally most of the workers will be chinese. There were also malay workers as shown in 3:28 but maybe not that many because during this period most malays live in kampungs and rural areas. They worked as fishermen and farmers. Contrary to what you believe many malays served the colonial army and police at this time as indicated in Bukit Kepong incident. The chinese on the other hand made up majority of the communist terrorists. So the tension between these two ethnics were already high back then. Some people always harking back on the supposedly good old days where ethnic tension is minimal but the facts pointed to the contrary. Ethnic relationship in Malaysia are always brittle and Malaysians are threading it with a slippery feet. Anytime things can go awry and years of stability and prosperity will vanish. So thread carefully my friend.
Wow what an embarrassment for you.
Get educated.
The heck? Do you know why they are even preparing all this food? It's for the soldiers to fight against the communists, who were mostly chinese.
Its beras not bras
Hence, 'Bras Basah' Road in Singapore till today..'wet rice'.
