I feel seen! Love this episode. I’m realizing that I do need some kind of accountability to get things done. I see that when I was in college and how well I did. I am someone who loves doing things on my own, but as time goes by and certain dreams and goals are not happening, I see I need to step away from the “ I can do this by myself” mentality for certain projects and need to be accountable to someone or something to get me moving in the direction I desire to go in my life. Thank you!

48:26 My mom was a stay-at-home mom and was always fighting on my behalf with the school. I failed first grade but the school wanted to pass me because I was tall for my age. My mom got me into special ed but the school would only do that if they put me on Ritalin which during the entire time I was on it I did not grow so my mom told me to act like I took it and spit it down the sink at school.
41:26 ADHD has advantages and disadvantages, however, in the book ADDulthod in school, work, church, ...people see our disadvantages and find people who will see our advantages. Find communities perhaps online first then find them locally online like art, and music communities because ADHDers are creative and may thrive in these communities.

I know what’s important to me… translating that into tangible things feels like trying to climb Everest.
