Second gen is my favorite sv. Also definitely wouldn’t consider the sv a touring bike lol. It could be a standard or simply just a naked bike

I agree 100%. My last bike was a CBR 1K. I now have a 2017 SV650 and love it. The whole feel of the bike makes it more enjoyable even if it is not actually faster overall.
