Very interesting.. I had a dream just a few days ago where I was to take over Merlin's role as the village's spiritual guide. Merlin had died for unknown reasons, but his soul was lingering wherever I went as he had been my mentor, and all his belonging were given to me, along with his magic book and wand, which looked extremely similar to yours, except instead of a crystal it had a lightbulb (that didnt work anymore, so relying on "his" magic was useless). In the dream there was also this tree calling to me, quite eerie and dark and Misty with a feminine voice. I however do not remember what it said. I found this reading today and picked pile 3, the cave. During the reading I ended up researching about Merlin and found information about Lady in the Lake aka Nimue. She was mentored by Merlin. She was a fairy and dependending on which Arthurian legend you read, trapped in a CAVE or a TREE by Merlin himself (or the other way around). I have many times been called a fairy and consider myself a fae witch. I also resonate strongly with the element of water. I have NEVER read any of the legends around Merlin before.
