I read large fantasy books. I only read 1 chapter at a time. Then do chores or work for a time. Then read another chapter. I usually finish 3-5 chapters per day. 6-8 on weekends. Large books get slain like a sleeping dragon that way and I get a lot done.

I wish someone would make a video like this aimed at people who have a brain with a dopamine disorder. I was diagnosed with bad case of ADHD when I was 4, but luckily I had parents who forced me to sit down and learn to read and write- though it took them years of doing that until I finally built a self-sustaining habit. The main problem now is that my ability to pay attention while reading isn't the best. If I read for more than 30 minutes my brain stops paying attention to the sentence, and then it's possible for my brain to see a syntax mistake in a sentence when actually my brain was just zoning out. And once that starts happening I need to reread the same thing a few times to get the meaning. I've been trying to push myself to fix this problem. I've been spending 3 hours reading each day, I include textbook reading in that count, and I've been sitting down to 5 hour reading sessions once a week. There's been no improvement with my problem, so it's probably just something I have to accept.
