Ooh girl! That lime agua fresca was making my mouth water!😋 These remind me of going to Rancho Market in Cali with my dad. I always got the melon (cantaloupe) flavor. It's my favorite.😘💗😘💗😘
I love LOVE LOVE YOUR RECIPES! I just made the lime, without fresh lime because all i had was the bottled kind but it still turned out so good! Btw, I just got your cookbook a couple weeks ago. Made the yellow rice ( I do not have turmeric so I used cumin ) and I LOVE IT! Just made it a second night in a row for the family!! Your quote to not let being able to replicate something exactly stop you from making a meal from the ❤ is everything!! Thank you for helping me cook for my family! So much love your way ❤
I have some cut up cantaloupe in my fridge now that isn't sweet so no one in the family wants it. I'm going to try make aguas frescau with it. If I can't get it sweet enough with a 1/4 cup sugar than I'm going to try adding a couple of blended 🥕carrots. Can't wait to give this a try, blessings and thanks for sharing . . . .
Hi Mamita. You are so sweet with your aqua fresca. Thank you for sharing your summer video. I am going to make all three drinks. God Bless. Maria. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖
Aguas frescas are a Mexican, Central, and South American tradition, my grandma would make them every day for lunch or dinner she loved making them, and they were/still are so delicious, the great thing about these are that it's genuine fruit, and sugar doesn't need to be added on huge amounts cause naturally the fruits are full of it.
I would suggest a simple syrup for sweetening, since granulated sugar doesn't dissolve well in cold liquids. They're easy to make and great for cold drinks!
My neighbors fix watermelon drink and cantaloupe drink. I like both but my favorite is watermelon. I was wondering if you were going to make a video. I think Laura just uses watermelon, sugar and water. Delicious!
Ymmm....Aahhhhhh, que fresco! My dear Simply Mamá, your hubby and your sons are so well cared for, with scrumptious vittles and refreshing aguas frescas, you're No. 1 Mom on their part! And you know that pineapple parer is so COOL, checking to see if you share the link to buy it, I'm thinking why slice the traditional way a pineapple with a knife when we just insert it at the top and presto, the interior is separated from the peel, and that peel I'm sure you save it to make Tepache, the equally SCRUMPTIOUS agua fresca made with fermented pineapple rinds and jaggery. Thumbs up dear Simply Mamá, liked and greetings to your hubby and chilpayates from Querétaro! :D
If your going to store in the fridge, do you need the ice? How long would it last in the fridge? I just found your channel looking for Pazole recipes. Can’t wait to try that one!
Could you please show how to make cucumber agua, my wife really like it..but she like the watermelon and it depends on how sweet the horchata is. She made empanadas by scratch and she never made the dough and she was very pleased with herself ☺ thank you for the agua de Fruta recipes.. i can't wait to for her to see your videos ☺
My family has its origins in Yucatan and I lived there as a teen. It would be interesting if you could make an episode about two drinks I enjoyed there: agua de Jamaica which is really a type of Hibiscus flower iced-tea in which after the petals are boiled with the water before straining the sugar can be added while still hot or at the last part of the boil and then this "concentrate" is strained and diluted in water and ice according to taste. The other one in the USA is actually the name of many drinks, however the "horchata yucateca" is based on the original "horchata" from Catalunya, which is a drink that originated in roman times made with "chufa" a type of nut grown like a cranberry. When the Spanish Civil War hit in the mid 1930s and due to World War II it was no longer possible to import the nut from Spain so they substituted the "chufa" with rice but kept the other ingredients such as vanilla extract and almonds (from the modern version, post 1900s) in it. I have to be honest in Yucatan most people buy horchata syrup concentrates.
Also, I don't think there's a recipe of yours that I've tried out yet that I didn't like. Had your tamales (this last batch I think I needed to add more lard. Had it sticking to the husks.) Chicken nuggets which the batter alone is delicious, not just the tasty chicken. (Ive almost gotten it down pat, the first couple of times my nuggets were puffing which was tasty but not what I was going for haha) Egg rolls were delicious. Some of your flavored horchtas, and I don't even like horchata that much but the banana and strawberry ones are tasty. And of course the first video of these. And cucumber water I think you had too.
These look amazing! Could I use canned pineapple instead of a whole pineapple instead? I have a house full of pineapple lovers and almost no extra time, so anything helps. Lol
I made your Aqua de Melon con lechera last summer and OH MY GOD, IT WAS SO GOOD! Can't wait to try these.
Yes!! That is one of my husband's favorite. 😃🙌

It's a jade ring that was a gift from my husband. Sadly it broke.😩 Jade it fragile. I hit it against my granite counter by accident and it broke. 😕
