Why did they create her BiS weapon to be for DPS with Crit rate as substat?

THIS!!!!!!!!! Like when I first saw her kit, I was thinking they'll do something with that. Like her burst dmg increases the more dmg is mitigated to her. I'm really shocked why they didn't do this😭😭.
Also at 11:37 the reason the weapon didn't feel different from r1 is because for some reason the extratime of the burst with c6 make so you don't get the Weapon buff for the last kick. Hoyo truly a visionary company.

@@Devotchka101 Her signature weapon says "atk% is increased for 8s after Elemental skill hits opponents". But her c6 makes her burst last longer, so you can't get her own signature's buffs on the lasts punches (since she removes her elemental skill from the field during burst).
@@Devotchka101 C6 not only give crit to Dehya but also make the burst last longer. The signature weapon have a stack mechanic, you get 1 part of the buff when you cast E and the other when she gets dmged. The second part is mostly always up the first 1 don't, you can't cast E inside your burst so you have to cast it before using Dehya burst, but with C6 the duration of the first buff don't last long enough making so you don't feel HALF the dmg buff of your signature weapon for the last hits of Dehya burst (40% of your dmg at R5, 20% at R0)

I remember a "leak" saying Dehya would be a 5-star Xiangling similar to how Yelan is a 5-star Xingqiu. The problem is Xiangling is one of Mihoyo's favourite characters. Maybe someone on the dev team heard that "leak" and got offended and decided to nerf Dehya into the ground out of spite.
I honestly feel it’s laziness. They figured she’s going on standard so no money to be made from re-runs. Why put effort into her kit if she won’t be lucrative. Just a theory of mine.

I despise people like you trying to make hyv seems like they did this by complete accident, or out of laziness. This was planned, they knew what they were doing. They work on characters for months and personally play them both solo and in teams. They didn’t mess up, they did it intentionally.

yeah her burst description literally read "Unleashing her burning anger", just make her deal a portion of damage she took on her burst and she'll be perfect. her kits are design around taking damage anyways. wonder why they couldn't think of that.

@Goujiki you can clear abyss with Amber and a 3* weapon , we talking how bad dehya is as a unit cuz she excels at neither roles, for a 5 * which should hold some type of value she's literally a waste of primos with how badly they actually made her and not even the new artifacts set will help elevate her even a little , its not about being good or bad at the game cuz trust me this game needs the minimum amount of skill to play(hence the none existing endgame ) Hoyo basically pulling this scam move for some money since ppl will still pull for her with how cool her design and story is .

Even at constellation 1, atk sands > HP sands.
Just the difference becomes less.
She would be sooo much better if she fully scaled off HP or they ignored her damage completely and just made her Mitigation scale off her max HP instead of limiting it; that way we could've just gone with Triple HP and basically had a 2nd Zhongli that does Pyro dmg. They tried to make her do to much and messed up her scalings. So now she does so many things but isn't particularly good at anything.
Worst of all, they gave her energy problems 😭😭😭😭💔

Her cons buff her damage and do nothing for utility, her weapon is dps orientated and does nothing for her utility. Her damage isn't good enough to be a quickswap dual carry. Her defensive utility isn't that good, you can just bring a healer or a shielder instead. Her E isn't good for elemental reactions it procs too slowly. She is meant to be an onfield dps, they just wanted to make a bad character lol.
Her weapon is dps oriented... I guess zhongli is a atk based dps then.

Her c4 an c2 are utility oriented. Her weapon buffs hp aswell. That's about it though. If her interrupt resistance lasted the entire e duration she'd be better as a support atleast.

Aight hear me out it may sounds weird or silly but since dehya can take damage while in her burst isn't vermilion set good or viable for her since the set requires you to take damage during burst to increase the damage of your burst?
Full Em Burgeon Dmg C0 Dehya + Sac Greatsword = 560K Dmg
32-35K dmg per Dendro Seed (2 Seeds max dmg Cap) with Xingqiu/Nahida (buffs em)
Field ticks 4 during one rotation + Sac Greatsword progs 4 attacks = 8 double Seed explosions
2 Seeds x 35K = 70K
70K x 8 Explosions = 560K dmg one Rotation on her E
I play it with a Wanderer Team i can explode the seeds on a distance. Wanderer becomes a Burgeon Fighter jet that way. Wanderer spot is pretty open you can also play Ayato/Yelan or whoever you want.
Don't ask content creators to think outside the box, even tho Genshin is a game designed around modular gameplay, these Content "creators" are hard stuck on Meta and dont like having fun or trying new things lol.
Reminds me of when people hated Kokomi but the thing is Kokomi is actually a good character
coz there was at least a plus to kokomi besides the heals, good hydro app, dehya doesnt even have that with the 2.5s proc so ye she's not gonna be "eventually good" unless ppl get even more high on that copium.
People hated her because she wasn't needed...she got buffed like 6 different ways by a new artifact set, no icd buff, corrosion mechanic which shredded shields an needed healers an dendro element which brought 3 new reactions...
Don't even compare day 1 kokomi to now lol. She'd be practically unused if none of those buffs happened.

Kokomi also has an identity crisis of main DPS or just utility atleast her burst adds 10 seconds and can be switched out. The moment an AOE hydro sub-dps releases something similar to Xiangling nado she's back at being mediocre again and with Fontaine I'm pretty sure it's expected to happen

My thinking is to make Dehya the most slot efficient possible, being the driver that doesn't need a healer and enabling 3 sub-dps.
Her E allows the sub-dps to not knock back and don't lose too much hp in rotations.
If you want to be more comfy use kuki instead of raiden

Maybe they really messed up Dehya kit because she will dumped on standard banner because anytime can lose to her 50/50 and will got cons to her due time thats might reason her power is on her cons. Makes me sad really like her design and her character in the story. But I don’t mind losing 50/50 on her.
Okay as a dehya wanted and haver, you turn into dps at c6, but before that at c0 she is just dmg mitigation by using by using her e skill and burst the correct way. For C0 you want to build her as a tank with atk, em, and hp , sets I recommend would be 2pc millith, 2pc gilded if your using an em weapon if not 4pc millith with sac sword to rest her ability with up time. If you want the super armor only the burst should jumped cancel the burst after the skill but you can reset it with another skill but remember than its based on up as well.
If you manage to achieve c1 you could now build her as burgeon with the flowers of paradise lost by using double hydro resonance with Nahida or Baizhu (with high em)since you sill need constant dendro Application to proc the blooms. Team mates like Candace and Dylan are good choices if to use, for paradise lost. If you don't want her to be the trigger ayato, of kokomi or good choices.
Though the problem for this is that burgeoning would fall of if it is single target and her skill has a short window. C2 in my opinion would be the benchmark to start building Dehya since you CA. Use her without net lost
I got her and her weapon, i tested her since she came out, i maxed everything i could on her, from my perspective she is very close to raiden, a "weak" skill that has high utility and a burst who deals a good damage, the problem is that her burst is actually pretty mid in almost any comp besides mono pyro and using her as a hypercarry is just wasting potential, if her burst worked with yelan and xingqiu or at least dealt a good damage alone, she would be such a good character
I have her and her weapon as well as Raiden and I use them together. Her Skill multipliers are higher than Raiden's (except for the initial fiery sanctum skill - Raiden's elemental skill cast dmg) however Raiden's skill easily outmatches Dehya's skill because it's faster, and also because Raiden has other means to increase her elemental damage (stacking ER), plus 100% uptime.
Dehya lacks both the uptime and speed that Raiden has and she also has many energy problems (why I paired her with Raiden). If her procs were much faster and she had better uptime then her skill wouldn't be so bad. Quite generally also, she needs better multipliers also on the burst.
Dehya r kit is fine, like not working with off field supports like XQ or Yelan but working in vap with Mona is cool. Her animation burs and feeling is cool and even her defence capabilities are good enough in paper. The issue is how shit her uptime in the defence options is (60% Uptime on the split dmg and 50% uptime in resistance to interuption) and her multipliers are really low, like they overvalued so much her defence utility and make her weak in both dps and def. Not to mention how they make her E pyro off field so slow and so low uptime she doesn't enable any reactions outside of Melt Ganyu with nahida burning.

Should’ve made her heal the enemies in abyss since she can make primo Vishal reset during her burst at times. Not to mention a “tank” kit in a 1 character on field game is pretty horrible since it’s not like all of your characters will be out at once and you having healers or shielders in the game who just do it better by a huge margin while actually being useful and runnable makes her kit even more of a embarrassment
Edit: she should’ve got a rework too or at least make her burst a team wide buff that doesn’t require her to be on field after it’s used.

Yo, Imma do what's called a pro gamer move
Hi Code! I just want to let you know that your calculations are skewed because you are using her in a team. Blah blah blah buffs and diminishing returns. Without team buffs her C1 is about a 53% increase to her burst damage and a 47% increase to her E damage. The reason I say that is because different people have different buffs for Dehya but the baseline would be a more accurate representation. Example C2 Kazuha, Mistsplitter Bennett and so on.
I think Dehya is character designed primarily for mobile players. Can battle, in burst she hits on her own so even if you miss the attack pad she does some damage, and she can tank quite a lot, either for herself and for teammates. Plus tanked damage is spread over time giving you chance to use food to heal if needed. That might also be the main reason why she's going on standard banner, to be available for everyone, even from early game if you get lucky.
I play on mobile and I have zero use for her as a Kokomi/Zhongli haver and as a Childe/Alhaitham main. She’s just meant to ruin 50/50s and encourage spending bc of how bad she is that’s it

I love Dehya’s design, if they don’t buff her… I’ll be sad but OK, but they need to get rid of the jumping out of burst *bug* (yes I _know_ ) and have her skill stop mitigating damage at 1 hp or something, right? Dying off field feels hella unsatisfactory.
If I could change three things, next would be being able to reposition while in burst, and if I could change 4 it’d be to give her better numbers and/or longer skill at C0, but the first two are maximum priority- with them fixed, she’s just bad, not actively painful to play, and will even feel a bit rewarding by C6

I was pulling bennet for my big brother acc. He started playing since first day of game release but left at ar28, Before klee was announced.
Today i recovered the acc. I realised he never pulled for any banner here i am ready for ayaka and shene pulls on that acc.
While pulling for bennet , In 10x2 pulls i got dehya & bennet . So here i am.

You should try alhaitham yelan dehya and kuki
her weapon is geared toward dps and she does have a burst that is intended for you to take up a lot of field time. if she was meant to be a support, i wouldn't mind, but they should have geared her to use only hp scaling and have her burst do teamwide healing per punch or something. as she stands, she doesn't work super well with any current characters. it's not only unfair to play future impact, but some of us might not want to get/play those future characters. and truthfully, beta testers couldn't really play her as is because hypothetical future characters don't exist yet to be in beta with her. i genuinely have no problem with 5* supports; i think that even though premium, they are really good quality at what they do. so far this is mostly archons even though Nahida and Raiden can do massive dmg. but she doesn't do much for team supporting, and her constellations also don't help her do any better team buffing. her signature weapon passive is also dps-geared (and can't work with her own C6 timing-wise) and there are a number of literal bugs, not just inconveniences, with her abilities. they shouldn't have released this character yet

What exactly is wrong with 600k damage (with decent aoe radius) then for a standard 5 star character? You realize the Keqing C6 are decked out by whales and insane 40 CV artifacts and so are the C6 Diluc showcases? Everyone uses Kazuha and Bennet for a "Showcase" unless its a dendro character.
I really think C1 shoulda been her base. At C1 she does ok dmg honestly not half bad.
The rest of her kit still has issues at C1 tho, only the dmg is passable.
She needs full duration interruption RES, proc E ticks every 1 second, 50 energy ult 14 sec CD and we are in business.

You could just fight Masanori and midnight and he gets a big hp/damage buff.
I mean, that's really the core of it, isn't it? She's kinda like a Burst sub-DPS/support sort of thing.
The problem is that she's not really great at ANY aspect of the game. Damage mitigation that comes from her E isn't nearly as good as shields. Her burst is so janky and has such poor reaction cooldowns that its not particularly all that good on that score.
Maybe she'll be like Kokomi, and have a niche that people will discover later and with artifacts tuned to her... but we'll see.

Kit-wise she's not good.

You should honestly try burgeon. I really like to play my dehya main dps but burgeon is pretty fun. It’s like throwing cluster bombs at the enemy and the explosion sound effects honestly sounds pretty satisfying.
The issue is that she sucks so hard in Burgeon, even Diluc Burgeon have better dps than Dehya lol. And both are way worst than Thoma and thoma actually have better defence than Dehya in those teams as well... She only takes Ls in the team building department
@@aeowinh i dont mean to doubt you but are u sure that ur using her in a burgeon team comp right? I use the same comp as the special program demonstration of Dehya's elemental skill. I recommend you try out the special program team comp if u havent. The way it works is similar to hyperbloom comps but with burgeon.
Her E proc every 2.5s and you probably need Sac greatsword / c2 for her skill uptime, and sometimes her skill can't hit the seed seed if the enemies are too tall like ruin guard etc. Thoma's Ult on the other hand proc every second

I 36 star abyss with Dehya/Rosaria/Kazu/Bennet, running Nahida/Yelan/Xingqiu/Kuki Hyperbloom on 1st team (cuz dont need kazu or bennet for that team anyways).
My C1/R1 Dehya does alot of damage and works very well with Rosaria. Pop Rosaria ult, swap to Dehya, go nuts, back to Kazu/Bennet, etc. Its fun, my favorite Dehya team for sure.
