A few drops on your dryer balls, smells amazing!!
I am just trying these...IT WORKS!!!
It really does. Glad it worked out for you 😉 It's such a great alternative to dyer sheets!
thank you ! what a great diy for the laundry room. i'm making some this afternoon
Hope you like it as much as I do 😉
I actually made some washable "toilet paper" out of old Tshirts beause I perchased a bidet seat , so I uased that at the beginning. So old tshirts can be reused.
That's a great idea! Hope you're loving the bidet. I would like to have one.
Hi, I have been going thru your videos and like what I seen so far. I have been using vinegar for laundry and cleaning for, well, lets just say a very long time. If you want a scent on your clothes, bedding, etc., you could wet an old wash or dish cloth and sprinkle some essential oil (s) on it and toss it into the dryer with your load. How much to use is something you need to play with, I would not make this a routine as pure EO's can be expensive and you do not want to take a chance with cheap EO's and do not use Fragrance oils as you do not know what is in them. It will not be as strong as a commercial scented dryer sheet but is safer and customizable. Some EO's are stronger then others. I moistly go unscented but sometimes I do this and have gotten many comments on how my clothes smell when I am out, strange I know, but then that tells you something. I had fun with orange EO one time and I would hear people say, " do you smell oranges" as I would be someplace where there was no food, LOL!
It's so great that the scent is coming through for you. I haven't had as much luck with that. I usually make essential oil sprays and spray myself (clothes included) when I dress in the morning. Maybe I should try to put the essential oils on a cloth as you've said 😉
@@sustainableslowliving Just make sure the cloth is wet and at least as thick as a washcloth. Mine get holes and raggedy but make good for this use.
@@annhopy2220 I will. Thanks for the tip!
Hahahah I'm definitely going to use some orange essential oil on one of my wool dryer balls. That sounds hilarious with people wondering where the scent of oranges is coming from.
Hahahah I just washed all of my Hawaiian shirts and put some orange essential oil on one of my wool dryer balls.
WOW!
My laundry smells fabulous and those Hawaiian shirts especially smell delightful.
Thanks for the idea!
Yeah I don't use dryer sheets ever. I hate the stink of commercial laundry products.
I have insanely sensitive skin so I never put any of that poison in my laundry.
I do throw some vinegar in the rinse cycle.
I use homemade detergent that is absolutely fragrance free.
Washing soda, baking soda and salt.
Neat idea
Could you not just use a spray bottle of the solution and spray some on your wet laundry as it goes into the dryer?
I'm not certain. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I would not want to spray each piece individually, as it would take so much time. But that is personal preference 😉
So if the vinegar would harm the metal lid, does it not hurt the dryer or and/or the washer when you squeeze the extra liquid in? And why?
I can't answer the why for you. I don't know the science that well. I do know that I've never had any issue with damage to appliances using these sheets. I don't squeeze the excess liquid from them into the appliance. I squeeze it back into the jar.
