  • Ashwagandha, an ancient herb known for its adaptogenic properties, has gained attention for its ability to increase testosterone levels in men. It’s thought this remarkable herb enhances testosterone production by reducing cortisol levels through the modulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, the central stress response system, and by directly stimulating enzymes involved in testosterone biosynthesis.
Studies have found a dosage of 300-500mg of high-concentration Ashwagandha root extract per day is enough to see increased testosterone levels, however it’s always individual.
Increased testosterone levels can lead to significant improvements in muscle gain and performance. In one study, participants who took 300mg of Ashwagandha root extract twice daily experienced greater increases in muscle strength and size compared to the placebo group.
Enhanced testosterone levels can also positively impact fertility. A 2013 study involving infertile men revealed that supplementation with 225mg of Ashwagandha root extract three times daily significantly increased sperm count, motility, and testosterone levels.
If increasing testosterone is a goal for you, please check with your healthcare provider before adding in ashwagandha, especially if you are already on medication.

Yes but Increased DHT levels will only lead to male pattern baldness in men who inherit the genes for baldness. You need to have the baldness genes to begin with. If you don't have the baldness gene you will not go bald no matter how much increase in dht you have. Just something others may want to know if they are considering trying this herb.
      Cheers.
