Agree with your opinion. Mainly production capacity and supply of source materials, both aspects can keep up.
But to be honest, colin goes to the markets that tourists often go to. In order to meet most needs, the prices of goods sold in these markets will not be too high. This limits quality, such as watches, and real players will not buy "rough" replicas at night market stalls in tourist cities.

Sidenote, it was very interesting to see how at least in this market of Wuhan, the locals spoke very little to no english at all. In most your videos, regardless of location, they speak a decent amount of english in the markets.

Curious on how you film in the market. I was just in Beijing and tried to film my experience, and immediately got shut down with "no filming" and sellers refusing to speak to me as long as I had the camera out.
